Could not fault this. Probably my favourite day in a brilliant fortnight in Vietnam. Van is professional, funny and runs a great class. From the learning at the market (including opening my eyes to some great local utensils I rushed out to pick up after) to all TWELVE(!) courses we managed to work through in class, it was an amazing... This was an amazing experience for my wife and I - we loved it - it was recommended to us by friends - The Green Bamboo picked us up at our hotel in An Bang Beach area and we collected others along the way, we collected our host Van and made our way to the markets to purchase what we... More

This cooking class is not like most of the cooking classes in Hoi An. Here you get only what you pay for, learning how to cook tasty dishes with all the technic involved. The course is almost all day. It's on the expensive side but well worth it!!

This cooking class is brilliant for foodies, experienced cooks and kids alike. You will be given as much or as little help as you need/want. Even as a proficient cook with two young children, Van's assistance meant I did not have to constantly help my daughters allowing me to concentrate on my own dish. This is no cookie cutter approach.... More

This cooking class is wonderful. We were picked up from our hotel, first stop the market to collect ingredients. ..This was a great insight into how the food reaches the market and then the plate! We had a coffee and then to Van's home to begin the cook. There were 12 in our class so we learnt to cook and... More

We loved our day with Van and 10 other foodies from all over the world. How the wonderful Van keeps up with not only doing the same thing every day but continuing to smile, be enthusiastic and eat every single dish we make (12-14 of them) AND then go on to eat her own dinner is unfathomable. It was a... More

From the pouring rain at the market to the pouring rain when we left, we had a great day. Van was an excellent culinary tutor with a great stock of recipes, fresh ingredients, and a very positive attitude. We are very fortunate to have been invited into her home with a nice sized group. One note is that the tour... More

We've just spent the day with the lovely Van at Green Bamboo. Having experienced quite a few cooking schools in Vietnam and Thailand I would rate Van as a stand out. From the market visit in the morning with Vans explanation of food and culture, followed by the traditional Vietnamese coffee break and then back to her home to cook... More

Today we were part of 11 doing the cooking class from around the world. We started at the market where we bought all the meat, chicken, fish and vegetables. Van talked and explained ingredients as we went around the market. We stopped for Vietnamese coffee and drinks before heading to her home. The kitchen was lovely and cool with AC... More

From being collected at our hotel, to the market shopping for fresh ingredients to the making of the meal, Van makes the day informative, fun and yummy! We sample one another's chosen dishes and watch each other make the different dishes. Organisation is impeccable, even the German's with us on the course were impressed with the precision of how things... More
