Thuan Tinh Island is a small isolated island, around 3.5 km far from Hoi An Ancient Town, on Thu Bon River. Thuan Tinh Island is an eco-friendly island rich in tropical foliage making it a beautiful place to cook, relax and then enjoy the dishes you've created, Thuan Tinh Island Cooking Tour. We organize daily cooking classes at Thuan Tinh Island: pick-up at the hotels in Hoi An area. You will make your first stop at the market to purchase some fresh and locally grown herbs, before joining a river boat ride in 30 minutes to Thuan Tinh for a relaxing meander through what has been officially recognised as an ecological zone. To visit the local Village, we take a row boat ride through the water coconut trees. We then walk through the gardens to visit a local family and snack on grilled rice cakes and iced tea. From there, we head back to our open-air cooking class overlooking the water coconut trees and river. Our chefs will show you how to make Vietnamese food while you enjoy the cool breeze and peaceful setting. That is much more than simply a cooking class as a journey to discover the eco island that makes you satisfied.

I knew the day was going to be good when we were greeted by the beautiful smiling faces of hon (?) and mo when we were picked up from our hotel. A quick visit to the market for supplies and then off on the boat. We made pho, bun bo nam bo, banh xeo and fresh spring rolls. Our chef... More

This tour was very well organised, and our tour guide/chef Trang was super polite and professional throughout the day. The tour offers a nice mixture of market life, boat ride and cooking - and the pace of the day was perfect. The school itself is set amidst coconut trees, a little out of town - away from the noise and... More

We had a wonderful day with the Thuan Tinh Island cooking class! We were picked up from our hotel and drove to the market in Olde Town. It was great walking around and were taught what to buy and about certain herbs/ingredients common to Vietnamese dishes. We then took a boat ride to the island, which was beautiful. The building... Me and one male friend were picked up promptly and joined around 7 others for the tour. We walked the market and picked up our fresh produce, before a few short boat rides to the island. The set up there was great, and our guide Hom very knowledgable, personable but also hands-off enough to let you have a good go... More

My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves participating in the cooking tour. My online request was approved promptly and communication and information was conveyed precisely via email. We were picked up from our hotel on time and made our way to the markets where we were greeted by Hien, our guide and teacher. The market experience was incredible. It was... More

What a fantastic tour! For roughly $50aud per person it is definitely worth it!! 4 dishes, a hilarious tour guide and a great food experience from start (buying the ingredients fresh from the markets) to finish (cooking & enjoying)! We took many modes of transport, which were great fun. Highly recommended. Special shout out to our Chef HOM, you were... More

I had a small glitch when the tour operator didn't pick me up at the designated spot, but they immediately made it up to me with a very handsome discount on the exact same tour starting 3h later. The experience includes a trip to the market to source produce, and sailing to the venue which is a nice way to... More

This cooking tour is a must for visitors to Hoi An. Our guide/chef , Hom, was brilliant. He was patient (even with me who mixed up soy sauce and peanut sauce!) His demonstrations were clear and the whole experience was fun as well as informative. We started at the market where we gathered the ingredients with Hom telling us about... More

The tour started with a pickup at the hotel and off to the market to see and get the ingredients for the cooking. Our guide/chef mr Hon was very informative and really took his time to explain everything and answer any questions we might have. After that we were off to the cooking class itself. Mr Hon and the others... More

We would highly recommend this cooking class. There is plenty of choice in Hoi An for cookery classes, some with fancy modern kitchens, but this was somewhat more authentic and included not just a market trip to buy ingredients but a valuable description of each element and how it contributed to the food by our lovely young host and teacher...
