Beautiful lanterns and a great class
Aug 2019
Small traditional style shop for the traditional lanterns available in Hoi An. Me and my partner went to a small lantern making class here where we made a lantern each which we got to take home with us. The class was fun and gives you a insight into the amount of work that goes into each lantern, it really made us appreciate the craft. Great selection of sizes and styles available. There are some hand painted lanterns available and you can make requests for your own lantern to be painted for a small extra fee. Highly recommend visiting if you're in the area.

Great fun making lantern

Lanterns for sale in this shop are really well made by the owner. I came back to learn how it’s done, and spent a delightful hour in one-on-one tuition acquiring a new skill. Now I’m taking home a lantern well made by me! Highly recommend this experience as well as the lovely lanterns for sale in this shop.

Fun afternoon making silk lanterns in Hoi An

We had a fun afternoon learning how to make silk lanterns at Nancy’s lantern shop in Hoi An. What a nice souvenir to take home to remember the many silk lanterns in Hoi An. Plus she took us to a great local restaurant where we tried Hoi An pancakes. Delicious! Highly recommend it as an authentic thing to do while in Hoi An.

We had such a great time learning how to make lanterns. Nancy is the owner and is friendly and patient. She is very skilled and helps you to make them (almost) as good as her own designs. Recommend for anyone in Hoian!
