Etienne was most gracious and helpful and a great instructor on Street Photography. The fish market and surrounding areas of the village proved to be a great experience I learned a great deal and had the chance to see the real life rather than the touristy areas, I would have liked to return but was in Hoi Ann for one... Well a thoroughly fantastic experience. Doubling as a photographic learning experience and a tour for the tourist in us all. Etienne was a fine host and ran a great workshop catering for the broad spectrum photographic skills amongst our group. I highly recommend you grab a spot on one of Etienne's tours.

I did this (the Fishermen) "workshop" in October. There were just two other participants, both of whom were experienced photographers, so was lucky that we didn't get stuck on exposure triangles (I think Etienne tries to adapt the workshop to the participants' skills). Although I've carried a camera for over 50 years and have taken pictures around the world, I... More

My husband and I joined a small group for the "Sunrise with fishermen" tour. It's well worth it rising before the birds in the morning. Very fun to meet the locals and see the busy harbour when the fishermen come in with their catch. I learned a lot about camera settings and how to compose good photos. Very interesting lesson... Improve your photography skills and experience Vietnam outside the tourist drag. Etienne catered for all of us from total novices to those with far more experience and I have some wonderful photos that I wouldn't have had the courage to take without him. I'd be keen to try the three day workshop too.

Etienne, a French guy who has been living in Vietnam for more than 10years. He can show you the places, where you can get a memorable photos. If you like street photography, you'll definitely gotta join this. Even if you have been shooting other types of photography, you'll also eventually.

4.45 a.m. collection from Hotel by Etienne - and the start of a great photography lesson and experience at a local fishing village. Etienne has a great rapport with the locals so "getting up close and personal" wasn't an issue and we met and photographed some wonderful Vietnamese and fishing scenes.. Etienne was extremely helpful with me (a real amateur)... More

I did the afternoon tour, up the river & into the villages. It was a great way to meet & photograph the local people, literally out in the fields. Etienne is a great guide, challenges you to get better shots & provides brilliant opportunities for wonderful scenes & subjects. If you love photography & are visiting Hoi An, this tour... More
