I requested a slight variation of the My Son adventure ride and Heaven & Earth was more than accommodating. I had an absolutely great day of riding and Tuyen, my guide, was the perfect riding companion. Indeed, Tuyen gave me great insight into present day Vietnam that would not be possible with a group ride. I wanted to focus on the ride and not on a tour per se. Everything was just as I hoped- only more so.
The winds on the afternoon return leg turned a bit sporty which added just the right touch. Tuyen was agreeable to maintaining a rider's pace, so we arrived back in Hoi An earlier than scheduled.
Our stay in Hoi An was wonderful. But thanks to the responsiveness of Heaven & Earth, and especially Tuyen, the day in the saddle was the high point of the trip and will be long remembered.

We called up and booked a private afternoon tour (4 hours) and it was definitely the greatest day of our stay in hoi an! I am not fit nor a bike rider, but it was flat the whole way and we stopped a lot. Lola was an amazing tour guide and so friendly. It was fantastic to get out of the hustle and bustle of hoi an and see beautiful country villages. Thank you!

We are a family of 4 (incl 2 teenagers) and enjoyed the morning tour incl lunch. We had a small group of 6 people and 2 guides (1 up front, 1 at the back) so we were well looked after. We also didn't have to take water. We took a ferry over to an island to see the carpentry and boat building, then wood carving then meandered around the island looking at the rice paddies and villages. We had many stops along the way going basket boat riding with Sexy Lady and stopping for lunch and morning tea. We were not rushed at all and could take photos. One of the highlights, other than meeting Sexy Lady was going across the rickety old bridge (as per the photos). It is great to get away from the motorbikes and the busyness of the old city. The guides were very knowledgeable about history and easy to chat to. This trip was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam.

Yesterday we took the afternoon bike tour, two families including 5 children. Online booking was easy, bike sizing for two youngest kids was a great touch. Tour guide Lyn was fantastic throughout, giving us an insight into the life of the local communities we visited.

From the opening boat ride, through sleeping mat weaving, rice wine distilling, mother of pearl carving and traditional fishing boat making we were treated to a raft if wonderful experiences. A real highlight for our kids was the boat paddling with ‘Sexy Lady’; great fun for all. Probably the best thing however was just the opportunity to ride through the countryside enjoying the sights and sounds of this beautiful part of the world.

Highly recommend.

My children, niece and myself wanted to escape the tourist areas and explore authentic Vietnam. This 35km mountain bike ride didn’t disappoint. Pascal was a wonderful guide and allowed us to to stop and take pics, go at our own pace and answer our questions if need be. I would recommend packing snacks for hungry kids along the way, but the sandwich served at lunch was great too. It was everything we had hoped for and I highly recommend this tour.

We did the My Son tour and 27km cycling activity with Heaven and Earth. The tour was good and the cycling route was fantastic but the cycling itself was far too slow. We should’ve been going 50% faster as we spent more time breaking than pedalling. The tour could’ve been reduced by 2hrs, or the cycle extended to 50km in the same time. Moreover, the guide didn’t know the way and we took several wrong turns.
The lunch was tasty but whilst I appreciate the desire to show local food, I didn’t feel comfortable using the bathrooms and felt a bit uncomfortable eating the food as the place was unclean.

Hello Hannah, Greeting from Heaven and Earth. First of all, I would like to say thank you for joining our tour and leaving your review on Tripadvisor. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and the cycling routes. Regarding your remarks, I would like to clarify some points. About the pace of the tour. In a group, some people can be faster and others slower. We, therefore, adopt an average speed to try to satisfy all our customers. Also, you did the tour in winter when it's not hot which makes the tour much easier. In the heat of summer, I'm sure you would appreciate this speed much more. For the guide who did not know the route. We were exceptionally two guides to accompany you on that day. And as I explained before the tour started. The second guide was just finishing her training for this new tour. So she could make some mistakes on the route (it’s for that reason we were 2 guides). Which happened three times and which I immediately corrected. Regarding lunch, as indicated in our program, we stop at a local restaurant in the countryside. (as you have seen, our tours aim to make you discover the countryside and Vietnam as it really is. and not to take you to tourist places.) Indeed, the standard of these restaurants is not the one you can find in the old town of Hoi An which caters to international tourists. But that doesn't mean the place isn't clean. But if you're not used to this kind of place, I can understand your feeling and I'm really sorry that you feel uncomfortable. Thank you again for visiting us and for your review who will help us improve. We wish you a very good trip in Vietnam and hope to have a chance to see you in the future with a faster ride tour Best regards Pascal

One of my favourite days of the entire holiday. So much fun from the very beginning... cycling our way through the village and countryside. Met so many locals and saw how shell inlayed art was made, boat building, got to pilot a round weaved boat, saw first had how rice wine is made, and tasted the goods. Lunch was amazing, at a local home. Wonderful to witness the 102 year old grandmother weaving bed mats with her nephew. Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable. Unforgettable experience. Thank you Pascal 🙏

We enjoyed our ride around the rice paddy fields in Hoi A very much.
We’d spent a few days exploring the ancient town area so wanted to see another side of Hoi An.
Heaven & Earth Bicycle Tours had a great itinerary that due to tourism still being (somewhat) slow turned out to be a private trip.
Our guide Tram has intimate knowledge knowledge of the area as she’d grown up there and was able to share details and stories we’d never have discovered on our own.
Really top experience and day for us to remember.

Excellent tour with Tram who was informative and great fun. Her English is excellent and there was no hard sell for any products . She was really knowledgeable about her locality and country and she was definitely the best guide we have encountered in Vietnam . Nice flat bike ride - one of our highlights so far

A great bike tour of the neighbouring islands to Hoi An with Diem, our guide. Heaven and Earth organise excellent bike tours around Hoi An. On our half day tour, which included lunch, we also visited some local craftsmen. It really took us to the quiet backwaters close to Hoi An. Thank you.
