In my opinion this sunset dinner cruise is very overpriced for the food you are served. Positives are the guide to meet you and take you to the boat and the lanterns given at the end to put into the river. No introduction was given so we had no clue who was running the night. We had to ask for a drinks menu 15 minutes into the cruise which took off down the river away from the sunset. The food is average quality and dessert was a sliced mango to share amongst three people with two slices of a rolled crepe on edges of the plate. Getting off the boat we had to step into a dining chair with no offer of a hand to help us down. Overall it was a relaxing couple of hours but not money well spent in terms of the food.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon. I called ahead and asked if they could place some nice flowers on our table, which they did (at no charge). Ended up that the other group that was supposed to be on our boat cancelled at the last moment, so we ended up getting a private cruise for just the two of us at an incredibly reasonable price! Food was good and drinks were very reasonably priced. All in all a very pleasant experience, highly recommended if you want to enjoy the river of Hoi An in a little more secluded/romantic environment than the small boats that swarm near the downtown area.

The trip was excellent, we felt like we were special and the family serving us were very nice. We will recommend this for couples and people who want to get some nice memories with little effort.

We were suppose to be on a full boat but the big family cancelled right before so it felt even more special. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The food was super tasty and I loved that they accommodated yo our specific dietary restrictions. I LOVED the jazz music they played, the glow of the lighting set the mood and the captain knows how to catch the perfect angle of the sunset. The weather was perfect with a calm breeze the entire time (no crazy flying hair in your mouth while you eat). Any questions we had about the surroundings along the ride were answered with fulfilling information, too. Just don’t forget your bug spray. Once the sun was fully set, I had 2 or 3 buggers try to get me but that’s it, no swarms or any other bugs noticed. Which was really surprising to me for being right on river at night. At the end, they gave us both a river lantern to make a wish and release into the river. Although it’s romantic and pretty, I worried about it collectively polluting the river/harming the wildlife. (Please note: This boat is only one of MANY boats at night that also do it as it is a tradition.) Instead of waxy paper, staples and cardboard an alternative I’ve seen used frequently now in other countries are rice paper and recycled wood. This is just the environmentalist talking in me but trends always start somewhere. ;) Overall, highly recommended.
