Ha, our guide, gave us a unique off the beaten path experience. He is a wonderful man and made the experience all the more fun.

Our first day we did the walking food tour, visiting many local vendors to try local "Hoi An" noodles, amazing Banh Mi, lotus ice tea, and more. We were able to see the heart of Hoi An while trying 10+ local dishes.

Our second day we did a bike tour visiting many local homes -- a rice wine maker, mat weaver, noodle maker, and coconut boat ride. It was a great way to see local life!

Our third day we got up early to do a motorbike tour. I was very nervous getting on one, but quickly became comfortable. This was by far my favorite day! We rode into the countryside to see local fish markets, the most amazing coffee shop, and a local farm. We met the lady who tended to the farm and were even able to help her plant.

If you are ever in Hoi An, I highly reccommend Hoi An private tour guides!

One of the greatest experiences in our lives. If you’re a food lover who actually wants to see how much love, hard work and dedication goes into some of the things you’ll smell and taste around Hoi An, this tour is for you. The tour guide Ha is a true ambassador of the city and culture of his life. If you are an early riser then this tour is for you. If you are not an early riser, toughen up and wake up early for once and BOOK THIS TOUR! It is an experience that you will never forget.

Our guide Hau (aka David) was as kind as he was efficient. He got our laundry done, our massages arranged, the best tables in restaurants overlooking the river. And really showed us around. Arranged through Audley Travel in Boston. What a pretty place for two days. More if you have beach time in mind.

I used their service twice during my stay in Hoi An, once to ba na hills (7 am to avoid the huge crowd and get some good photos) and marble mountain, another is transfer to airport, both excellent service

Pros
- on time
- quick reply to e-mails
- good English
- very polite staff and drivers
- flexible, we finished ba na hills early and we wanted to go to marble mountain without planning, the did not mind taking us to marble mountain, although we pain extra charge. On the airport transfer day my flight delayed, I called the company 15 minutes before my pick up and explained to them that my flight got delayed and they were ok and understanding although the driver was waiting for me in the hotel, they kindly rearranged my pick up
- clean car

I used the private transfer service from Da Nang to Hoi An which was fast, comfortable and good value. I also booked a food tour in Hoi An which honestly was the best tour I've done in 3 months of travel. Hai was genuine and friendly. He was very knowledgeable and passiohnate about his home town and the food. This is the first food tour I've done where the guide has eaten the food as well. If the guide is willing to eat and actually enjoys the food he is showing you I think that's a good sign. The focus wasn't just on the food either. Hai also provided information about the history of the places we visited which sets this food tour apart from others. I highly recommend Hai and the services provided by this company.

Being personable is a talent and Tour Guide Ha is very talented! Very easy to talk to and laugh with! After 7 dishes I was too full!

I'm probably like you - I don't just look at the ratings, I look at the number of reviews. This one may not have lots of reviewers but I have done food tours in Thailand, Taiwan and Malaysia, Hong Kong and I highly reccomend this tour and especially this tour guide without hesitation!

I never once felt like I was walking too long. Everything is smoothly done and Ha seems to have a great rapport with the vendors.

Continue to share your gift with foreigners, Ha! I wish you much success!

I went on this tour tonight solo (husband injured himself so couldn’t join me). This was honestly the best evening out. My tour guide was brilliant! Explained the background behind each dish we had, what ingredients were used and why. How each ingredient complemented the flavours etc. We went to so many places I would not dare try on my own and every time the dish was so fresh and amazing. It was a real insight into Hoi An and the food. Thoroughly recommend doing this tour in Hoi An and the private tour was brilliant. Tour guide had a great sense of humour and it was a really enjoyable night. Tour tip: go hungry as the food supply is endless!!!

Thanks for the great night

This was by far one of the best tours we have been on! We got picked up from our hotel at 6.30am and the tour is private, so it’s just you, the driver and Mr. Ha. The whole trip was well organised. You get bottled water in the car and free wifi. It took us about 30mins to get to ba na hills and then on to the cable carts. My husband is pretty afraid of heights and the cable carts are a little daunting and pretty high but definitely manageable. Once we got to the top, we were one of the first on the bridge so it was so much easier to take pictures and not be over crowded. It was pretty misty when we got up there but it certainly didn’t take from the beauty of the place. We also went on up to the French village which is beautiful and then on to the wax museum and arcade. Unfortunately I was really ill for the trip with a chest infection and Mr. Ha could not have been more helpful, he got us down really promptly when I needed to get back to the car and offered to drop us at the medical centre on the way back or stop at a pharmacy. It was a pity we couldn’t stay longer due to illness but it was amazing. Would highly recommend and Mr. Ha is more than willing to take pictures of you whenever you want. Mr. Ha is very knowledge on the area and has great experience with tours.
