I went to Surprise Tailor and I received excellent input from the staff who assisted me. They suggested a few colours for shirts that matched extremely well with the suits that I picked. At the final fitting everything looked really good. When I got back to my hotel I decided that I wanted the pant legs lengthened slightly. Surprise Tailor were very understanding and agreed to make the requested alterations. As I was leaving for another city early in the morning, I made arrangements for the pants to get to Surprise Tailor. They provided additional excellent service in having the pants sent to the hotel I will be at in HCMC. I got two custom made suits and three custom made shirts for less than what I would pay for a single quality suit back home in Canada.

John and his employees were available to answer any questions we had and patiently worked with us to find the ideal offer. The three piece suit and shirt we both received were ready within 24 hours. The results were marvelous. Customization requests were implemented within a few hours after the try on. The contact was very friendly and communicating in English was no problem. Overall, highly recommended.

We wanted to use the opportunity to get an affordable handmade suit in Hoi An when we got there. We met John in the Bus to Hoi An. Our Taxi Driver also recommended a tailor to us. We compared the two and thought that Surprise Tailor seemed more legitimate so we went there. We got some good recommendations. I finally chose a navy blue suit instead of a grey one and a white shirt. John was very straightforward and you could tell that he has experience. After that he took the measurements. Around 24 hours later we came back to get the suits and were very satisfied with the result. A tie was also included which cannot be seen on the foto. Both of us had to do little adjustments which were finished two hours later. We payed each 185 dollars for a three pieced suit, a tie and a shirt.

I woke up on the overnight bus from Hanoi feeling pretty grim. But a friendly man came and chatted to me and said he had a tailor shop in Hoi An and I should go visit him. Neat marketing strategy, I thought. I almost didn’t get to see John’s shop as my partner fell in love with the dresses at Yaly (they are very good!) and I’d got some shirts from Mr Xe’s (also good) and Surprise Tailor is a little way from these shops. I’m so glad I did go though; he was fantastic - just as smiley and cool as I remembered from my half asleep interaction the day before. There was obviously a bit of upselling but I’ve just picked up two incredible outfits; one suit and one jacket / chino combo and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. No alterations needed and he added a button to the cuffs of my shirt too which was very good of him. I would highly recommend Surprise Tailor! Very good quality and great value for money.

I went to Surprise Tailors with an image of a dress I wanted and they created the most amazing dress! They took my measurements in the afternoon and the next morning they had made the dress and it was the perfect fit! Surprise Tailors were a lot better value than other tailor shops I looked at and the quality is amazing. John and his team are lovely and I would definitely recommend!

My experience at surprise tailor was exceptional. John, the owner of the tailor shop, is extremely experienced in the tailoring business and is a 1st generation tailor with over 40 years experience. He and his team were extremely kind and helpful when assisting me in choosing designs and materials for my desired suit style. I was also allowed to choose the colour of the lining and fabric which made the suits look even cooler. I ended up purchasing a tailored 4-piece tuxedo and 2-piece work suit of amazing quality / look and was given an amazing price for. When trying on my suits, John and his team noted that the shoulders should be adjusted to better suit my body build. This strongly reflects the excellent customer service and attention to detail John and his team provide. I highly recommend this place if you want a great tailored suit for amazing value of money and customer service.

They tailored for me a outfit with linen and its pretty nice! I really like it. We made the measurements in the morning and come again in the afternoon for picking it up, because it was our last day in Hoi An. They made a really good work, i would recommend it every time again!

I had already planned to visit Surprise Tailor as I saw it had high reviews. Coincidentally we then met John on our bus into Hoi An who told us more about their services and we decided to visit later that day. I showed the team a photo of a bridesmaid's dress I had seen online and they knew what I wanted straight away. They quickly took some measurements then one day and some very small adjustments later, the dress was finished! I am so happy with it. My boyfriend also got a linen suit which he was really happy with too.

We met John randomly on the bus to Hoi An, by coincidence we'd already marked his tailor shop to check out when we were there. I was skeptical going into the process, but reassured throughout. Really happy with the output - a linen summer suit in a colour usually outside my comfort zone / palette 😂 delivered to the UK.
