A group of us were staying at Linh’s homestay villa and decided to try out her cookery class after some amazing food at her place the night before. Despite the downpour, we had such a great time. Trip to the market to get fresh produce followed by a simple but informative cookery class - and some boating to finish it off!

We booked in at Crystal restaurant as the food was so delicious. The morning was spent shopping at the local market and then cooking with Mrs Linh at the Eco Village. A fabulous experience of learning how to cook traditional Vietnamese food and then eating it. The venue is calm, relaxing and quite beautiful and very close to Hoi An centre. Don’t miss this opportunity when in Hoi An. Beats the big tourist things hands down for value and authenticity.

We were recommended a visit to "the place with lanterns", which was actually next to our hotel but down a small back road. The lights weren't actually on when we came to visit but as we wondered does the pathway we felt comfortable and excited by what the place might be able to offer. We popped our head into the kitchen and asked if they were cooking and were greated very friendly YES. So we were seated over the water. The menu covers traditional Vietnamese food and Pizza/pasta dishes. The beers are local and cold. We had a go in the bamboo basket boats, so fun. Quoc fed the fish for us to see them, they keep the fish for long life. We wish Rocky and Lyn a very successful future.

Lyn and Rocky and Family and staff are the most accomodating . There properties are immaculate, food is fantastic. This is a Canadian 5 star experiance at a 2 star price. Lynn still believes in old fashioned hospitality and it shows in all she does.
