We've participated in cooking classes in the States and Europe and I have to say this was among the most fun and probably best organized of them all. For a Westerner, the introduction of all the ingredients and assembly methods could be too challenging to attempt in a hands-on class, but Chef Lulu made it all clear and provided just... More

My wife and I were part of a group of eight tourists undertaking a two hour cooking class. The cooking school and restaurant is extremely well laid out, and well worth a visit whether you want to do a class or just dine there. During the class we cooked some food ourselves (such as pancakes), tasted food prepared in front... More

There are a million cooking classes one can take in Hoi An. We only took this one, but we were so happy. A great day. Market tour by boat, great guide. The cooking class was a little assembly line, but I guess is has to be, to finish in time. The best part was taxing all the dishes and looking... More

We did the 'Holiday Masterclass' at Vy's Market and it was fantastic! After a visit of the local market (where we went by boat) we had food tasting before actually starting cooking. The recipes were really great, it all tasted amazing, class was easy to follow and very pleasant. Good English! In the end, we got all the recipes cooked... More

What an absolute pleasure to have had the experience of dining at Vy's market on several occasions during our stay in Hoi An. The food is amazing from the duck salad to the coconut ice cream, there is something for everyone including a few for the more adventurous in the weird and wonderful section. Ms Vy certainly knows flavours and... More

On our visit to Hoi An we had the opportunity to take a traditional boat to the market with our guide to learn about the varied seafood, vegetables, herbs, spices and fruits used in traditional Vietnamese cooking. After our Market visit we were walked around Ms Vy's Market restaurant food stations to taste some unusual dishes including silk worm salad... More

This is similiar to Ngon restaurant in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh which brings together food from different regions in Vietnam with one exception. The food is so much better!! The customer service staff are very friendly and great service. I love the iPad menu which came with pictures so you could see what you were ordering. They have a... More

During the 2 hr cooking class our guide Cherry showed & explained all aspects of Vietnamese food and gave us tastings. We made spring rolls, pancakes, kneaded bread, bannana flower salad and noodle dishes. We could not eat any more and could not believe they could fit so much into 2 hrs. Excellent value for money.

Ok, so this place is obviously a tourist trap aimed at Westerners- cooking school and market tours bring us in, but the food is fantastic. Fresh, healthy and well catered for vegetarians, this was some of the best we had in Vietnam. We went back twice because the menu is huge.
