Great concept restaurant in the heart of Hoi An's picturesque, lantern lit street. Offers a variety of tradition foods (ordered via tablets) and an on-going cooking class for those interested. Worth a visit if you have a group of four or more.

My daughter booked the 8am-1pm class, including a 10km bike ride to the market, herb growers (along country laneways) etc, then cooking of four dishes etc. I was bit unsure, but boy, did we have a great morning. Dont eat breakfast. Our guides were caring of us all on the bike leg (I am nearly 71, and the traffic can... More

Great introduction to Vietnamese ingredients and a fun way to spend the morning! I felt it was definitely worth it for the price to get a (very short) boat trip and full tour of the market, followed by a tour of the cooking school and then the actual cooking class. The staff was kind to accommodate my vegetarianism and modify... More

Well run and organized cooking classes. I recommend the 5 hour class starting at 0830hrs. Small groups of 6 people taken on a guided tour of the market where the guide explains the different fresh meats, fish vegetables spices and fruits available. Backs at Vy's Market, you are treated to weird and wonderful foods such as fertilized duck egg, snail,... More

We took part in the two hour, four dish lunch program. It was very interesting seeing the different chopping techniques/tools at the market, then preparing dishes in the cooking school area. Chef Lulu was very instructive and entertaining, and my wife and I, who are pretty experienced cooks, both learned a great deal. Looking forward to making some of the... More

We recently did the 2 hour cook and taste class and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very well organised. If you are looking for a detailed hands on cookery class then this isn't for you, but for us it was the perfect level of cooking and tasting. The food here is delicious, we ended up returning 2 evenings for dinner.... More

Perhaps good for ( well off - 25 dollars is steep for 2 hours of just watching ) new bees . I liked it as it clean and organized but it was bit of factory belt . You don't actually good anything had watch and be fed . Our " teacher " was very impatient and kept looking at her... More

This was an excellent experience and great way to learn about Vietnamese food. There is only about 1 hour or so of cooking involved, which included making four dishes that become your lunch. The rest of the experience includes a tour through the central market and also through Vy's market. At the central market our guide Tim was fantastic in... More

This whole operation runs so smoothly - from a general look at the different sections - grill, noodles, dumplings, strange foods etc. through to a guided tour around the food stalls in the market. Then back to Vy's market to learn how to create the dishes - four dishes in one session. Definitely would do it again - bring an... More

Took the 2 hours Tasting and Cooking Class, and totally enjoyed it. The class was lively, and we were introduced to the different herbs and ingredients commonly used in Vietnamese cooking. The restaurant is open concept with different sections each cooking Vietnamese food using various methods. We were given a tour together with food tasting. Follow which, we get to... More
