Very good opportunity to get out of tourist path with scuba diving, snorkeling and overnight camping on Cham island Marine Park. From beginners to certified divers, you are all welcome. PADI Courses from Open Water Course till Dive Master. With our multilingual team of PADI Instructors ( English, French, Spanish, Italian,German and Vietnamese) enjoy a day out and splash into the beautiful underwater world. No troubles, make bubbles!

I went out on Feb 27th and had 2 grat dives with Sylvain.
The first dive was great, great visibility and surpeisingly warm water.
2nd dive water not so clear but a fun dive.
I did my AOW with Cham Island Diving last year and can only say good things about the whole team.
It's a very professional set up, equipment is first class and their attention to safety is first class.
Ask Sylvain to take some pictures when you dive, you won't be disappointed.
Overall it's a great fun day and great value, but I think the 3 hours spent on Cham Island for lunch is boring and unnecessary, espcially once you've done it before.

5 star PADI dive center in Hoi An

If you are visiting Hoi An and want to get PADI certified from a 5 star dive facility, don’t hesitate to go with Cham Island Diving Center. Arranging the time, place and package fees for the Advanced Open Water course through WhatsApp was simple and straightforward. Deano along with his instructors, Ngoc and Thuan were all easygoing and laid back yet very thorough in their instructions. Good visibility and decent amount of sealife around Cham Island. 100% absolutely can recommend them for anyone planning a trip to Hoi An. Thanks everyone and see you again next time!

Great Vietnamese Diving experience

We met a very friendly crew at the Cham Island Diving boat at the pier. The boat is a beautiful old wooden double story single hull. My partner and I are both certified divers and did 2 dives. This dives were great, with lots to see from soft and hard corals, stone fish, scorpion fish, so many anemone fishes and even the elusive harlequin shrimps (a highlight for me!). The dive equipment was well intact and felt very safe and professional to use. Make sure to do your buddy checks though! The visibility was about 10 m for us which we were told was quite good. We dived down to about 20 m but found there was more colour and life above 10 m.
After our 2 dives a smaller boat ferried us to a beautiful beach on Cham Island itself which was paradise. We were served a very delicious Vietnamese lunch which we all ate together and enjoyed chatting about what we saw and travel stories. We all felt very lucky to be able to travel at this time post covid as we found ourselves to be the only ones on the island occupying the hammocks under the palm trees while drinking a cold local beer. After about a hour relaxing on the island we headed home. The wind picks up in the arvo so it’s a bit more choppy on the way home, but enjoyable all the same.
I definitely recommend diving with these guys if you’re keen to see some Vietnamese dive sites.

Went on a "try dive" with Sylvain. We loved it so signed up for the open water course the next day. Sylvain made the whole experience brilliant fun and was really clear making everything feel really safe at the same time.

We had considered just snorkeling but really glad we decided to dive. Sylvain took photos while we were down which were great and would have been impossible for us to get close to ourselves.

All staff we dealt with were really helpful, from the person at the dive shop when we booked to everyone on the boat.

Would recommend Cham Island diving to anyone considering trying out scuba.

So let's start with the positives. The instructors were excellent and really helped as we hadn't done much snorkelling before. The equipment was all very good and the guides spoke very good English.

Now the negatives. Our transfer turned up an hour late, then got lost licking up other guests and eventually arrived at the pier 1 hour 15 minutes late after some interesting driving. (Made me feel more motion sick than the speed boat.) The trip was also sold as getting back to our hotel at 1630-1700, but we left cham Island at 1415 and we're back at our hotel by about 1500. If you include the delay this is about 25% short of the time we paid for. Not really acceptable, especially after spending such a decent amount on the trip. The food was, at best edible, but to be honest pretty rubbish and we got kicked off our table for the owners to clear the restaurant out despite not long finishing. Do not book unless you fancy being ripped off.

hi all , transfer to the pier in the morning: the customer is right, It was too long: due partly to long await of some guests not ready and to the driver, we discover later new to the pick up tour, Since 20 years we use the same private company for transfer and it just happened a couple of times to take lot of time to reach the pier. No one hour and 15 min delay anyway. We apologize for it. Food at best edible: there is no pasta or pizza on the table,... sorry. The vietnamese food prepared by the locals is made with fresh ingredients with local taste ( fresh salad,fried potatoes, sauteed squids, fish is the catch of the day, rice or noodles, pork cutlets, fruits). Simple, clean and tasty. Imagine us working on the island everyday eating rubbish as this clients says since 20 years, iWe shouldn't be here answering to your comment,..... The departure time from the island depends on sea conditions. If wind comes up or there are waves coming up we anticipate the departure for safety reason and in order to avoid to stay on the island waiting for calm sea early morning . Being a tour by speed boat all guests are informed in advance we are back at pier around 3 pm and the latest at 4 pm at hotel Rip off: We operate since more than 20 years: if our target is to ripoff people we would have closed already since a long time... Thanks for positive comment regarding equipments and quality of service of our instructors in and out the water.We are very proud of them make bubbles lodovico

We emailed Cham Island Dive Centre just a week before we arrived in Hoi An - they responded quickly and managed to fit our daughter in for an open water Padi course. Sylvain was her instructor and was so lovely (as was all the staff!) - very encouraging, enthusiastic and patient. We joined our daughter on the final day for two dives which were amazing. We saw a huge range of marine life along the coral reef including sea horses, lion fish, and clown fish. Sylvain professionally photographed our dive for us (an optional extra) - the photos are utterly beautiful and will be very much treasured.
The diving with Cham Island dive centre will definitely be a highlight of our fantastic Vietnam holiday. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants to have a taster dive as a total beginner or do a certified dive with the experts. The vibe is very friendly, relaxed, enthusiastic but also very professional and safety conscious. Altogether excellent!

Great experience and detailed instructions

Did our advanced open water course with instructor Sylvain and it was so much fun! He was extremely detailed in his explanations and took his time to make sure we understood everything. He made us feel very confident although it has been 2 years since our last dive. Overall a really great experience and so glad we got him as our instructor!

We were also lucky enough that he is an avid underwater photographer and managed to snag a photography package at a really reasonable price. Cant wait to see the pictures!

Great trip

We went on the one-day snorkelling trip and had a great time. The boat ride to the islands is a straight easy journey, with lots of coast to look at. The wooden boat was shady, and there was always fruit and water available. The 2 sites had wide varieties of coral and fish. The staff were highly professional and monitored all visitors carefully in the water. There were about 20 people as customers, filling the boat but with comfortable space too. I booked this company because they are the only one fully PADI licenced in the area, and their expertise showed. Everyone had access to life jackets and half length wetsuits, in a wide variety of sizes. The lunch was far better than we expected and they catered for my weird diet restrictions with no drama. If you love visiting the fish, I recommend this company highly.

Advanced Open Water course with Sylvain was fantastic!

My partner and I did our advanced open water course with Sylvain who was an excellent instructor—so fun and funny but also showed us everything we needed to know and very patient with helping correct mistakes and making sure we were confident in our skills (and also took this awesome photo). Visibility was low but we still saw some beautiful coral, heaps of fish, and even an octopus. The equipment was high quality and the boat was nice. Lunch and relaxing on the island was lovely as well. While you can definitely find much better water conditions elsewhere, I’d definitely recommend the company itself, and even without crystal clear water there’s still a lot to see and do! A great day or days out in Hoi An.

Can't wait to get back in the open water!

My daughter and I did our Open Water certifications with Deano and the team and we had a fantastic experience! Deano is clearly an experienced diver and instructor. He gently guided us to learn and perform each skill and he was always watching us to make sure we were ok. All the instructors and crew members were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The reefs and wildlife in the waters around the Cham Islands are beautiful and I'm happy to have had my first diving experience there. All in all, a superior experience and a great value for the price. I cannot wait to go back!
