I will remember this forever.
Aug 2019 • Couples
I honestly wasn't expecting much from this experience when my girlfriend suggested it, but I went along anyway. I'm always up for something different and have never done a cooking class before. Without a doubt, I will remember this day forever.
From beginning to end I had so much fun and learnt so much. We were taken around a local market where we bought the ingredients needed. We were taken to farms where the ingredients were grown and one of the locals let me water her crop. The tour guide was very friendly, new all the locals and very informative. When we got to the kitchen, it was outside under a canopy. There was a pool and it was a small group. We cooked, we joked, we swam and we drunk... A lot. The food was incredible and there was so much of it. On the way home via boat, we came across some fishermen who let me use their net too. The whole day was so immersed with their culture and was so relaxed and enjoyable that I still remember it fondly 5 years later. I couldn't recommend enough. We went traveling for a year. We done so much and saw so much in that time and this is still a highlight for me. Definitely go. You won't regret it.

Very disappointed
Feb 2020 • Solo
I took the expensive classes and it was disappointing.
We didn't really cooked the food like they said , we "cooked" in group and we waisted lots of time in between.
The tour at the market was waist of time and the guide tried to convince us to buy the things very aggressively.
Also the tour in the spices village wasn't very necessary.
I thought that the long class's will be more time to cook, but they spent our time.
Another thing is that they not very honest about, is the recipes, because they will tell you how to make rice paper at home, but actually if you follow the "recipes" you'll get something very different.
I'll recommend you to find another place

Fabulous fun cooking
Feb 2020 • Couples
This was one of the highlights of our trip. We started with a coffee at the restaurant then a walk through the markets which was colourful and fascinating. A short cruise up the river to the cooking school and restaurant with our tour guide who was hilarious! The actual cooking part was loads of fun with a demonstration followed by trying our own skills at individual cooking stations. We had a gorgeous lunch from what we cooked ourselves accompanied by a lovely glass of wine. It was absolutely so much fun. I highly recommend doing it!

What a treat
Jan 2020
Met by our guide who took us for a traditional coffee and then took us through the intriguing food market.
A fun boat ride along a beautiful river watching local fisherman.
When we arrived we were taken around the herb garden
The cooking school was fun - it didn't matter whether you could cook or not - and you had a lovely meal at the end.

Fun, Food and a Little making and tasting each course Extra
Feb 2020
We arranged for this through our travel agent and it turned out to be a great experience. The chef escorts you through the morning market and explains the many fresh items for sale. A 20 minute boat ride along the river to the cooking school/restaurant follows. There is an open air classroom setting where instruction is provided, steps given and your own cooking station set up. The chef is charming, clever and quite funny in his presentation. After a hands on experience making and tasting each course prepared, you are treated to a sit down lunch of your menu where you get to mingle with other class participants. The entire process was one of the most enjoyable and active cooking classes I have attended. Great day, great find, great experience.

The cooking-class was well organized. After a stroll through the local Food market you take the boat. During the boat Tipp you can take a lot of great pictures! At the red Bridge you geht a Drink. The meals we prepared were very good. 😋

It started off with a traditional coffee and then a fabulous tour through the market! Then a boat ride to Red Bridge where we cooked a variety of dishes which were delicious and easy to try again at home. Mimi was an excellent tour guide very funny and caring - she was also our chef and delivered the class with excellence. This experience is a must for every visitor!💕

Red Bridge 1/2 Day Cooking School
Feb 2020 • Friends
Our group of 4 friends attended the 1/2 day Red Bridge Cooking School. Mimi was our guided chef and was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable, accommodating to food allergies, and had a great sense of humor. This was one of the best ideas and we are so glad we did this tour and class!

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Hoi An
Feb 2020 • Family
We went here almost 10 times in our two stays in Hoi an. After trying lots of recommended places from Tripadvisor I don’t understand, why this place is not #1 or top ten. Every dish looks amazing, tastes delicious and us well made. You really see and recognize that a chef is working who knows how to prepare food. We are trying to taste every dish from menu and we didn’t get disappointed once yet. All starters are amazing especially the beef rolls and pancakes. Main dishes are extraordinary good. Food was never oily and all salads and herbs are super fresh. What we can’t say about better rated places in Hoi an. All fish, chicken and grilled pork dishes are so good. And it is a beautiful scenery with the surrounding garden and a view to river. Price is great as well you pay maybe a little bit more than in other places but the quality of food is absolutely worth it! We speak only about a few €$¥£ give it a try. You won’t be disappointed! About cooking class I can’t really say something as we haven’t join one but I think they are great as well as the place provides clean huge cooking areas. Only recommendation for management is to might get baby seats as they don’t have yet. But staff is super friendly and willing to get closed comfortable chair down to garden that kids can sit safe at table.
We will come back several times in next days as we still have six days left. BEST PLACE TO EAT!

Amazing cooking class and market tour!
Feb 2020 • Couples
I cannot say enough good things about Red Bridge Cooking School. The overall experience was great from start to finish. When booking, the staff were very quick to respond to emails. We met at a cafe and had a complimentary welcome drink, then toured the central market of Hoi An. Our guide, Lin, was knowledgeable, funny, and answered all of our questions. She showed us different fruits and vegetables, seafood, meat, etc. and explained how to tell what’s fresh and what isn’t. We walked through the stalls of the market and Lin showed us which products were high quality and which were lower quality. Then we got on a boat that took us to the cooking school.

The cooking school itself was clean, modern, and welcoming. The cooking demonstrations were clear, and there were lots of staff around to help you follow the demonstration. The food was DELICIOUS and there were options for vegetarians (like me).

Overall the staff was great, the food was great, the tour was great. I definitely recommend this to any traveler coming to Hoi An!
