I've lived in Vietnam for 2.5 years and this is easily the best motorbike rental company I've ever used. The bike was in excellent condition and came with two ponchos, a first aid kit, and a cellphone. The owners were absolutely wonderful and were a pleasure to deal with, going out of their way to provide a great service. They gave us loads of travel advice for the area and lots of general safety tips I will use their services every time I travel in Hoi An.

we rented a bike for 2 days and the service was by far more than expected.
On top of a great new bike and speed service we had an email with all the destinations to visit, a phone in case and emergency kit in case of urgency.
He even provided some rain coats ..
Finally not like other rent shop the bike arrive with a full tank.

The bikes were in excellent conditions, comes with a new helmet, first aid kit, and a raincoat. They offer free pick up/drop off at your Hoi An accommodation, which made it convenient. I, unfortunately crashed the bike on my way to the airport and broke my ankle and Minh, Kane and the team went above and beyond with their customer service. The bike was taken care of and Minh looked after me until I was checked in at the airport, as I was injured and traveling alone. He even bought me a Bánh mì before he left, so I wouldn’t get too hungry. The prices and costs of damages were fair, and I would recommend Hoi An Bike Rental to anyone looking for a quality ride with friendly service!

We rented 2 Yamaha bikes from Mike at Hoi An rentals. What a seamless transaction considering I miscommunicated on how many bikes we needed. He immediately had another bike dropped off in minutes. They were apologetic and it was my mistake ,not theirs. Fantastic service and all of the staff were exceptionaly polite and very helpful showing us the bikes and giving us tips on what to see. The service they provide by dropping off the bikes at our hotel, and pick up was great. No running around. The bikes are full of gas, come with emergency road service contact numbers,first aid kits,and ponchos.They are worth every penny. They offer outstanding service and seem committed to the customers.
Thank you Mike and all of your wonderful staff. I only gave you give stars because the app won't let me give you 10 stars.

Contacted Ming by Whatsapp as I was returning to Vietnam and would need a scooter again, previously visited in 2017 see my review.
Ming replied straight away and quoted me a very good price for 10 days rental for a Yamaha 155 with top box and phone holder fitted. The rental also included helmets, rain cape, first aid kit and mobile phone. The bike was delivered (with full tank) and collected to/from my hotel as arranged.
Over the 10 days the scooter ran like a dream, no trouble at all and I even got an email from them with suggested places to visit.
I received such excellent service again from this company, will definately be in touch next time I visit Hoi An.

The whole team at Hoi An bike rental have been fantastic, I’ve never experienced customer service like it, I couldn’t recommend them more.
The bikes were very well priced and in great condition, the care and help they provided was exemplary. Unfortunately one of my friends had a crash on the Hai Van pass, they were very understanding and communicative in helping us. They picked up his bike for us and were very open with the repair costs. They sent us the Honda invoice so we knew we weren’t being overcharged and didn’t charge an extra day of rent whilst it was being repaired.
Our experience with them has been fantastic and I would highly recommend them.

Echoing all the other reviews, the service is just amazing!
The bikes are in great condition, decent helmets (in contrast to seashells worn by majority of the riders in Hoi An) are provided. In addition to that, there are extras: rain ponchos, phone holder (how could I have lived without it? It is amazing!) and emergency phone.
In addition, detailed guides for how to get to most common destinations around Hoi An are provided, what let you enjoy more scenic route than just the most direct one provided by Google Maps without chance of getting lost.
The price might be a bit more expensive than other rental shops, but the helmets alone would be worth it and you get so much more.
I rented a bike for 23 days and I could not be happier.

Rented a bike with is company. Made all the booking from internet from Uk about 2 months in advance. Excellent service bike was delivered to hotel and collected prompt reliable time keeping to the minute. Bike was in good order with all the equipment as advertised. They even supply a free emergency mobile phone which I thought was a nice touch. You probably can get cheaper bike rental as rental service everywhere, but I am a believer of you get what you pay for. We had the Yamaha 155 fully automatic. It had sufficient power and size for the our trip riding pillion . They make what’s app contact for you and then you And keep in contact with company for any changes etc and mike supplies loads of links and information about the area. Thank you for an excellent service would book within company without and concerns every time .

If you're looking to rent a motorbike in Hoi An or Da Nang, then look no further. This is the 4th time I've rented from Hoi An Bike Rental and each time the service has been excellent. Good, reliable bikes always that you know are safe, unlike some others that you may find in Hoi An.
Mike is one of the friendliest people I've met in Vietnam and will always go to great lengths to help you. I can safely say that Mike has now become a good friend and someone who I can message if I ever need assistance. Furthermore, his colleagues are just as friendly and will give you advice on places to go or do. If there's a problem, they're always on hand to assist through the cellphone they give you.
I can't compliment this service enough. I will surely rent from them again when I return.
If it's a bike, a friendly service you're looking for, then rent from here. You won't be disappointed.

We offer free delivery and pickup at any place in Hoi An (hotel, B&B, home, restaurant, cafe,...). We support for delivery from 6 am and pickup until 10 pm (or even later than that if you need to use the bike after that).
So Flame Flowers homestay is fine for delivery/pickup.

Typically there is no licensing check however if there is an accident your travel insurance will probably not pay out if you do not have a motorcycle license in your home country. Technically you need a Vietnamese visitors license but they are hard to get.
Yes they include bike insurance which is why they are more expensive. The other factor is they have a good fleet of well maintained bikes. Full face helmets with current EU standard labels are available if you ask.
Rates are on the website.
Finally a lot of people think that a 8+ hour plane ride and arrival in SE Asia magically gives you the ability to ride a motorcycle. It does not. The bikes are made to be easy to ride but road conditions can be challenging and driving culture is different. Having been a rider for 30+ years I was horrified at the risks tourists where taking and often not aware of just how close they were to serious injury without even knowing. Last visit I saw 4 people with extensive road burn from falling off. On a tour I helped someone learn how to ride beyond the basics and acted as outrider for the group (with agreement of the guide) after a truck nearly collided with an inexperienced rider who managed to get out of the way as I had blocked other traffic to give them space.
Riding in SE is a lot of fun and great way to see the country but you need to have the skills to do it safely and bring the right clothing. I'd not rent from anyone else in Hoi An than these guys!

Apologies for not replying your concern sooner.
You are not required a driving license to hire a motorbike from us (Hoi An Bike Rental). For deposit, you can choose to leave cash / personal ID card / credit card / passport / driving license.
For riding in Hoi An and surroundings, police never stop foreign travelers (just in case you don't wear helmets). But in Da Nang, police sometimes stop foreigners on the roads along the coast to Hai Van Pass and Monkey Mountain to ask driving license. Just on the way to these two attractions. But we have different good routes for you to ride to there that try to avoid police. No worries.
