Get a bike and enjoy the rambla

This beach has a nice Rambla or promenade bordering it, great for walking or biking on a nice day. In march look out for the trees with red flowers (ceibos). You can also take a picture in the sign that says COLONIA in big letters on the way from the old city to the Real the San Carlos.

Nice views

The views from Real de San Carlos beach are amazing, especially after dark when all the boulevard lights between Real and Colonia are lighted. Tortas fritas are available beginning around 4:00pm year-round, and earlier during the summer.

Nice Beach

Nice beach. The sand is actually really nice for being located along a river delta, although by this point the water is fairly salty. Don't expect clear ocean water but generally nice for hanging out.

Good for taking a stroll walking by.

The most extensive beach to walk or jogging in Colonia. Takes about 6 km for jogging. A nice place to visit

Nice place to relax

This beach is located about four kilometers away from the centre of Colonia, near the plaza de toros (bullring). It's a good place to sit down and relax by the river. There are public toilets nearby.
