This is a very small church with very little artwork and you have seen it in 2 minutes. It is prominently located in town, so hard to miss.

This is great because there are many churches that are not open to the public but this one was. It was good to come and see while were were in Colonia

There's nothing particularly special about this functioning church except, perhaps, its historical significance. It's worth a look, especially to see if there are any concerts. We were fortunate to be in town for a wonderful performance by students at the local music school.

The church has taken a battering in the course of its history but the interior has a simple dignity. When we visited the nave was filled with airial artworks which worked well against the white walls and ceiling. There are few painting or pieces of any antiquity in the church but it is a pleasant place to visit.

The Church of the Blessed Sacrament has undergone some reforms that removed some unique characteristics, being reformed in 1970 to the current state. It should be visited for its historical importance.

Worth looking round being the oldest Church in South America. It was free entry.....didn't take long! It's opposite El Drugstore.

Walked into this church to find big size sculptures of different types of birds. Interesting. Other than that it had a pretty nativity set up at the entrance for the holidays

Conservative and antique church in the center of Colonia. The oldest in Uruguay. Inside the church is very conservative and simple, but nice.
