Studying at the American University of Sharjah was the worst experience of my life. Professors come from the most deprived countries on the planet, Bangladesh, Moldova, Pakistan etc. and they impose onto you their view of the world. If you dare to oppose it, they team up to destroy you and whatever hope you may have. The university is filled with Islamic fanatics (both among staff and students) - they almost forcefully impose the Islamic doctrine onto you. The shops are severely limited in terms of the items you can buy due to the severe implementation of Sharia Islamic law and on top of that the entire Emirate is a desert with extreme temperatures. You cannot survive outside, even my mobile phone was switched off after a mere 5 minutes outside.

I have had the honor to help many Saudi students join this prestigious University in Sharjah, now certified by Georgetown University, USA. At the start, AUS had coaching from my own "alma mater" with success as the student exceeded the coach. Highly recommended for your children and for the large campus.
