Completely overpriced for what is essentially serviced apartments with a solitary dining facility. The pictures made it look deceptively big where the hotel is actually very small. We were in a 2 bedroom suite on the 9th floor. Views were fantastic, rooms clean and great beds for a good nights sleep. The suite featured an open plan fitted kitchen area with microwave & sink and a seating area with 2 small sofas. The sofas were very uncomfortable with their springs digging into our posteriors each time we attempted to sit on them.
The breakfast buffet choice was very limited and definitely not worth the Dhs 30 extra per person.
They also keep your passports??!! Completely strange in this day and age. 'Sanjeev' (one of the shift managers) insisted on both mine and my wife's passport. I can't understand how or why such a rude man with no interpersonal skills is employed in a customer facing role.
In contrast the other duty manager named ''Sheraz' was a delight and I can't commend him enough and I wish him well. Another positive is the restaurant next door called the Sind Shahbaz with amazing grilled food. If do want to stay in this area My advice would be to get a room in one of the many serviced apart-hotels on the same road with similar rooms but at around 20% of the price we paid at Al-Hamra
