A beautiful array of cars that youd be amazed to see under one single roof. The cars were well kept and maintained. Its not a huge place but the interior is as good as whats displayed outside. Its great for kids to experience how the cars worked and looked like in those days.

What a treat! I used to live in Sharjah till about 9 months ago when I moved to Dubai, and have never visited this museum before. I finally did last week, and what a treat!
It has got a fantastic collection of vintage cars, all in pristine condition. You can see classics like the Model T Ford (some of them slightly modified), Model A Ford, Fiats, a spectrum of Mercs from the vintage to the fairly modern, and a beautiful collection of American gas guzzling classics- Ford, Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac, Studebaker- they are all here!
When we visited, there was a race of radio controlled vintage cars going on inside, which was attracting a good crowd.
The museum is extremely well kept, at Aed 5 for a ticket, it's a steal, the loos are pristine and you even have a food counter inside built on the rear of a vintage truck!
Only two caveats: you are not allowed to touch or get into any of the cars on display. There is an old Corvair near the ticket counter which you can get into and take pictures. Second, the museum is a bit out of town, on the road to Dhaid, beyond Sharjah airport, so getting there could be a bit of a drag unless you have your own car.
And this is one of the very few muesums in Sharjah where photography is allowed inside. Most Sharjah museums do not allow photography.
Certainly worth a visit- there are some true gems in there!

Essentially, the museum is a large room full of cars. There is a loose chronological order to the displayed cars, but really you could roam around the exhibits at will. The only interpretive materials are placards for each car that display the make and model, year, maximum speed, and a short blurb about the car's history (sometimes). You are allowed to get very close to most of the cars, but they do ask that you don't touch them.

I found this museum interesting even though I am not a big fan of automotive history. Someone with a real interest in cars could probably spend a very long time there on a visit. As it was, we were in and out of there within an hour. A great classic cars museum is not something I'd think to look for in Sharjah, but it is definitely worth a visit!

The entrance fee is very inexpensive. We paid 10 dhs for a family ticket.

Hello Friends,

Who stay in UAE if you are planning to go and visit Sharjah Car Museum it's good timepass and it's very cheap 5 Aed per person.

But if you are a tourist I will recommend you dont waste your tight schedule time on visiting here. As its nothing you can't miss visiting they dont really have Vintage cars most if them you can see in streets of Dubai.

I have personally visited this place 3 to 4 times to pass my time when I am near by and have to wait for meeting or wait to get rid of traffic on Street.....

If you have kids with you go visit good timepass and affordable with family but dont expect super vintage cars......

My family and I very much enjoyed this Museum as it had all the classic cars from old to new, please go there after noon as hardly there will be anyone as for heat but then again it’s all indoor so no need to worry as evening may be too busy, it’s was all very cheap to get in for 5 of us as family we paid about 35-40 Dirham. It’s good day out. Also opposites side of the road there is Sharjah Discovery Centre so make sure you do all this same day.

The museum has an extensive collection of cars spanning the decades from the early 1900's to the 1990's. Entry price was very reasonable at AED 10 per adult and AED 5 for children over 2 (kids under 2 get in free). Cars were displayed nicely and the entire facility is decorated with vintage motor ads.

There are large-scale puzzles and a display of a functional car engine to interest the little ones. You can also sit in a classic car at the end.

Just make sure you take cash as they don't accept cards and the nearest ATM is the airport next door (which is a bit of a detour).

The only downside for me was that there was limited information (history, facts etc) about the individual cars on display. The museum could do with adding a bit more info but this didn't detract from the experience on a whole and i'd highly recommend a visit.

The most interesting thing about this place is that it not quite well known among the locals. Even people who have lived in the city for a long time don't know this place. Anyways, what that means is I almost had this place to myself. Took all the time to catch all the beauties. And what a treat! A must visit for car lovers. A value for money as well with the entry fee of 10 Dhs.

I visited the museum in the year of 2013, It was not that big show, at that time the entry was free but now there is nominal fee of 5 dirham (1.36 USD) for children and 10 dirham ( 2.72 USD) for the adult.
