We spent quite a bit of time in this great cultural museum which contained many dioramas of life in the Oman and artifacts.

1) the tickets are quite cheap and the guards quite co-operative to help find the way around. The artifacts look well preserved and help look back at history.

I first visited The Calligraphy Centre in Sharjah in January 2014 and have just visited again April 30 2016. The hospitality and experience is something not to be missed. I can't wait to visit again when next staying in UAE. I would like to spend at least half a day in this area next time.

Sharjah, one of the Emirates of the United Arab Emirates, is a complex society to the westerner and most of us know little of its history. The Heritage Museum offers a window into that society of today and an understanding of the historical events that brought it fully into a modern, thriving economy. Exhibits, with full descriptions nicely keyed to... More

My gorgeous wife Bernie and I had the opportunity to visit the Sharjah Heritage Museum in the Emirate of Sharjah, UAE. The museum is housed in a building that is too small in size. We were with a small group of people and when combined with other tour groups it became too crowded. The museum had quite a number of... More

The heritage village is still in development and most of the activities are in the evenings. We visited during the day and were impressed by the interpretive displays and range of things on offer. It's a bit spread out and hard to navigate (get a map for the information area) but this is part of the development stage, and I... More

I especially liked the Calligraphy exhibit. Also the Ceramic exhibit. It is easy to wander around and see all the exhibits.
