The Flag Island is one of the three islands on the Khalid Lagoon, which is connected by two motorized bridges to the mainland of Sharjah. While much of the island is occupied by Al Montazah Parks, the other part has a huge UAE flagpole, which is among the biggest in the country and serves as a good photo-op.
The island has a nice garden and a small amphitheatre for cultural performances. There is also a cafe with a children's play area and an art space. One can spend around 45 minutes to an hour here. Entry is free. It's not too pedestrian friendly to get to, however.

Took a walk here a family member, I liked the fact that people could just sit and enjoy the view.

A touch of wonder in a wide and beautiful area for friends and families, especially couples to visit. If there is a concert going on, you can listen for free while enjoying fresh scenery under the UAE Flag.

Nice place to spend time with family and friends in Winter , various food trucks are available, medium range of cost.

went to the Flag Island on Eid Day. Not much public considering it was a public holiday.It has a 660 metre walking track around and a restaurant with a play area. All in all a nice place to have a leisure walk and decent family time with lot of photo oppurtunities.

Maybe because of the Covid 19 pandemic, there were not many people there, and so as a result the atmosphere was quite when we went for a walk in the evening. However the place was very clean and very well maintained. Worth visiting again.

A small island in the heart of Sharjah. Very peaceful with a couple of restaurants. Enjoy the walk there. It has a short jogging trail.

The Jones the Grocer restaurant has outdoor seating in the back which is fantastic. Fresh and tasty food, absolutely recommend this place.

You can spend a relaxing weekend morning here: breakfast at Jones the Grocer, followed by a walk on the rubberized path around the island. It is also a nice place to spend an early evening—the views are really nice, and there is a contemporary art gallery (1971) above Jones the Grocer.
