This places provides a fun day out for the whole family and especially if you have kids of different ages. There are lots of activities for the kids, plenty of parking, a gift shop although the cafe is pretty basic and lack a variety of foods to eat. There is a prayer room there. During Eid they had competitions and gave the kids decent prizes like board games.

The Sharjah Discovery Centre is conceptually similar to Kidzania; a place where kids get to don different hats and have a variety of experiences; though its cheaper than the latter. If one has kids and looking for a place to take them to, particularly during the hot summer months, they can come here. The centre has a variety of activities and games to excite the little ones, though with the ubiquitous options available nowadays, this can be somewhat less appealing at times. Also, one needs to get here using one's own vehicle or a cab; there is no public transportation to here. The centre is located beyond the Sharjah International Airport, and just before the Sharjah National Park. From the city centre, one can get there in 20 minutes or so.

Definitely a nice place to keep kids entertained for a few hours while indoors. With a very reasonable entrance fees you could probably take them a few times a month especially during the summer holidays. Its a well used facility so don't expect things to be as new. Its a edutainment facility for children where they get to learn and explore various engineering and physics theories. there is also a small basketball and football area where they can practice shooting hoops and kicking goals. there is a mini soft play area in a corner, a water world where they visualize the power of flowing water, a construction site with cranes and pulleys and a make believe airport. Taking a group of kids there allows them to enjoy imaginative play at its best.
