Sharjah has been rebuilding their heritage sites and visiting them is a must. Displays are excellent and descriptions are in English and Arabic.

The heart of Sharjah is an area comprising of the old city of Sharjah, which the current ruler aims to develop into a centre for Heritage and the Arts. Enclosed within the old city walls and located close to the two main bus stations of Al Jubail and Rolla, this place is easy to reach. Much of the area is under development and one can see the works in progress to get an idea of what it would be like when completed. As of now, there are 4-5 museums here, apart from 2-3 small restored old traditional markets (souks). There is also an arts area, which is decent. However, as of now, visitor facilities (food, water etc.) are somewhat limited, though the place has parking. At times, it's difficult to find out where specific buildings are located. To understand and appreciate the place, it's better to pay a visit once most attractions are completed and open to the public.…

Amazing destination to learn something new about the old, mystic vibe and welcoming. I would say that this is the place to find the unique souvenirs.
