Fantastic place to relax and chill out

My wife and I have been in Al Hamra for nearly 6 months now and have used the Al Hamra Yacht Club nearly every day.
We have found that the location is ideal to relax or participate in a verity of water sports.
I have taken and passed my Stage 1 sailing course here.
The instructor, Corry, is an excellent teacher and I found the course both fun and rewarding.
The service at the club is outstanding, Santos and Lin are very welcoming and look after you very well catering for all your needs.
We have also found that the club is very Covid Secure and every effort is made to keep it so.
We have no hesitation in recommending the Club to anybody who visits Al Hamra Village

Sailing Club Fun at The Club House, RAK Al Hamra Marina

After a relaxing day on the beach at The Sailing Club, with excellent beach service by Vivian and Tint taking care of our F&B needs, a margarita seemed like the right way to watch the sunset. Vivian makes a stunning margarita in true Mexican style - it’s more like a martini than a large frozen or on-the-rocks drink as the rest of the world has come to know it. You can always add more sweet and sour and/or put it on ice or have it frozen but this was the closest to the first margarita I ever had in Mexico some 40 years ago. Vivian, you rocked it! We had two. My husband had to add ice and more sweet and sour but those margaritas brought me back to the Caribbean here in RAK on a Middle East sunset afternoon.

Don't expect too much. Dubai marina it ain't....nor is it anything like Swansea marina for that matter! Pleasant enough but very small, rather tatty and generally unfinished. Nice views but difficult to justify a visit just to see it. Didn't visit the Yacht club so can't comment. Seriously irritating there is no bridge over the water to the Waldorf Astroria

Right on the beach

Relax, chill out on a sunbed or go for a swim. Welcome to the laid back Sailing Club!
The food is more a kind of "fast food" but I am hoping this will improve as they are now using The Muse's kitchen.
I gave this 5 stars simply because of the location! The place also offers many water activities you can try or rent.
Just so you know the staff will not serve you, you need to go up and get your drinks and food yourself.
The only downside is that one glass of wine is only 135 ml!! The smallest glass I have seen in the entire Ras Al Khaimah. They claim it is 150 ml, but it isn't, we measured it.

Lovely views

Al Hamra Marina is a lovley spot to have lunch or dinner. The menu is limited, but caters for all tastes. You can even sit out on their deck and have drinks, and watch the sun set. They offer a taxi service over to the golf club, where i could recommend Mason Matis for excellent food. They also have a sports bar which provides food and a great Italian restaurant. So plenty to do of a weekend for eating out.

The Al Hambra Marina is an amazing sight to see out in the desert so to speak. It you like you can enjoy a nice meal. If you like you can just enjoy the scene of water and boats.

Lovely spot for evening drinks situated on a marina with great views of the Waldorf Astoria and other Al Hamra hotels .. Very friendly and helpful staff .. Pandi. Arul and Abdul In particular ....Would like to see a less seafood based menu but that's a personal preference.

Limited Menu but Good Kitchen

The daily and weekend specials are all simple but filling, in a friendly ambience, and with cold beverages on tap. Take the on-call ferry across the lagoon and there is another great bar and restaurant there, but more of that in another review.

Great for an evening out!

If you're looking for a nice, waterfront relaxing evening to watch the sunset and the moon rise while listening to the whispers of waves lapping against boats, sipping incredible coffee or wine or a pint of Bitburger, then Al Hamra Marina & Yacht Club is your place to be in Ras Al Khaimah. Take the complimentary ferry across the waters to the Marina and time will suddenly disappear.

Great seafoond restarrant in Ras Al Khaimah
