We visited the museum to learn more about the rich maritime history, however there were very few artifacts and updates to the place. It had basic historical artifacts, but no new information. It is very well maintained and does offer a good place for pictures

The museum is Situated near the old cor-niche of ras al khaima which used to be the area where the old fisherman used to keep their stuff and boats.According to one of gardeners, which I happened to talk to,the place is basically an old jail which was not used for a long time. Here you can see in the different areas part of the history of RAK, also the constructions of the houses and techniques for pearl diving. Unfortunately the signs are from the 1980 so it is very rigid. Anyway I recommend this place!

Opened from morning 8 am to 6pm is a great place to learn about the history of UAE and Ras al khaimah. Very well maintained, lot of information about traditional occupation and how people used to live in the past.

Very basic and nice. We were the only people there. It would possibly have been better with a guide to help us understand the ins and outs of the building etc... or a brochure. Cheap access (5 AED) and children are free.

this is a small, simple museum but has a good history of the emirate and its strong ties to the sea. Worth an hour of your time.
