Quite an experience to see the daily trading, the variety of produce from sharks to shrimps was amazing, however the fish we wanted was called Amoure and we were shown four live fish flipping about in a bowl that the trader claimed to be what we asked for, a deal was struck and the purchase was then disembowelled and filleted by a skilful guy with a very sharp knife who wanted another AED 10 ( £2) . The fish turned out to be amazing , once cooked. However not cheap, next time we will stick to the fish stall in Lu Lu,s. I'm sure we should have bartered, being the only white faces amongst a hundred people at the fish market, we were definitely mugged and the trader probably took the rest of the week off . Beware , but enjoy the experience. J n B Mellor.

Situation over miles of unbroken and broken beaches and breakwaters, RAK technically has more than one corniche, and all are equally great.
Simple, lined on one site with the beach and on the other with pocket-friendly eateries, cafes and places of interest (the RAK Museum is here too), the RAK corniche is the perfect place to bring your family, loved ones or just your friends and even come solo for a nice long walk followed by a coffee or dinner.

Can I take my samoyed dog on a walk there? She's a very good girl that doesn't make any trouble but she might be a bit bigger than average.

Lovely place for a walk, jog, lunch or drink. Well maintained grassy areas and a running path
There were lots of cafes and even a small fun fair. Families had brought picnics in the evening and the kids were running around playing. Highly recommended for a couple of hours if you are visiting RAK.
