This is just a road to mountain top, and back down again - but it is unlike anything in Europe. One can only truly appreciate the vastness of the desert from way up top, and the rock formations a simply astounding.

Visitors to the UAE general think of the country as a big flat desert, but they are very, very mistaken as the Emirates of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaima have some very serious mountainous areas, but so does the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Within a stones throw of the desert city of Al Ain is Jabal Hafeet (Hafeet's Mountain) and... More

We did go to Jabal Hafeet late in t'he evening. T'he view from t'he top was breath taking, specially with t'he lights below. It was a bit chilly due to t'he breeze, but, very pleasant.

Nothing special about the place. The view is perfect in the night. Don't go there in the evening. Its almost always dusty. The visibility is worst from 1700 to 2000 hrs. The temperature is definitely different up there. Lots of Bar B Q Spots along the way. Best part is the drive up and downhill.

I love to spend time on the beaches but this is the first time I spent on a resort on top of a mountain. It's a beautiful sight to see from the top. The drive to the top is simply crazy, the different formation of rocks and color shades. I truely enjoyed my drive everyday going up and down.

Jabel hafeet is one of the attraction in UAE. From top of mountain you can see Al ain city. Close to Jabel hafeet Al ain zoo and Green mubabzarah are other attraction.

Grew up in dubai. This was our go-to place for friends, during holidays or weekends. we just enjoy the long drive up and soaking in the views. roads are winding but great. the cooler the weather the better. generally it is chilly on top.

Visited Jabel Hafeet in July. Around 2 hours drive from Dubai. To say, it was a nice drive to the mountain top with many hairpin bends. Don't forget to stop in between to capture the breathtaking views. Best months to visit are October-February. A must try. Drive carefully.

It's a fairly long drive from Sharjah but once you reach the top, to get the uninterrupted view on a clear day, it's really worth the effort. The roads are very well maintained and going up in a car is effortless with ample parking space on top. The best time to go is in the cooler months when there is... More
