This is a lovely little museum to visit in Ajman- it has lots to offer from early settlers to current development.
It’s set up is very practical showing how the people of Ajman used to live and trade before the current development.
Entrance to this museum is minimal - like other museums in the region.

A contemporary approach to showcasing history. The Fort compiles visual documents and artifacts covering most things about Ajman. The history, the origin of Arab horses, the markets, the traditional remedies, the Union Defence Force and so much more! So engaging that a two hours visit felt like 20’

I was in Ajman for a day trip and stop by because it came up on things to do in Ajman. I am very glad it did because it was a wonderful museum and was very peaceful. I took the round-trip bus trip that will take you from Dubai to Ajman and leaves every 30 mins. If you stay on the bus to the last stop in Ajman then the museum is located right beside it. The museum was under construction while I was there, but the majority of the buildings were open. It also was not crowded at all, and it was a nice break from some of the overly crowded tourist areas. There are different buildings and, in each building, there are scenes with artifacts set up to visually display the history of the emirate culture. My biggest knowledge that I took away was the history of pearling in the UAE. I will admit before going I did not know that use to be a source of income for the UAE.

The gift shop was closed when I was there, so I cannot speak if it will be good for souvenir shopping.

I really had a great time there and found everyone working there to be very nice. They help me out with any questions and gave me some advice to what else to see the next time I am in Ajman. I hope to go back when it is fully completed to see the areas that were under construction while I was there in December.

I like Ajman museum, even more than Dubai museum, its large and more quite place. When I was there I was only 1 tourist in all museum, kind of creepy, but I enjoy anyway. I dont remember the enter price, but it was something like 3-5 dirhams (around 1$). Museum workers was nice and polite, but they dont speak english :) Oh and its large and ford itself have many doors and many entrances, all them closed because air conditioning, so you just open door and go inside, there is thematic exposition behind each door. Sometimes you have to walk upstairs also. Anyway, I take a lot of pictures there, so better one time to see, that 100 times to say (I put here only small part pics that I took, because its really large and have a lot to see and to capture). Oh and I easy go by walk from Ajman Corniche, its takes me around 20-30 minutes only.

Well worth an hour of your tome to see how Ajman has changed over the past 50 years. Good for children to explore. You are transported back in time.

A really nice museum , lots of interesting things to see and almost nobody else there. The buidlings are spread out around a courtyard and are set in nice surroundings with trees and shady areas. The exhibits are well made and show life as it was in Ajman in the last century, I enjoyed the traditional market , the old guns , the documents and also the buidings with the wind towers showed the typical architecture. The entrance fee is only 5 AED and parking is free.
