A travel company that strikes the perfect balance between taking quality care of you and pushing you far beyond your comfort zone. On my trip last November, I didn't ever have to think about accommodation, transport or itinerary and could focus on the gems Cuba has to offer - it's people, culture, history, and energy. I couldn't have had the same experience with any other organiser.

The USP for this tour is to bring you off the beaten track and it certainly delivered. We visited places and people that are definitely not on the tourist trail. Staying in Casa’s with local people added to the authenticity of our experience. Value for money was also very good. The quality of the guide’s information on all the places we visited and stayed was outstanding.

This tour was great. I did not think we would be able to get so close to the accident site. I felt safe during the tour and going to Prypat ? was interesting as well highly recommend going there.

I would highly recommend Turkmenistan as a country to visit and the global Village tour team. Global Village Tours supplied an unforgettable, once in a life time trip. we travelled around Ashgabat city on our first day which needless to say is a day I will never forgot. The next day we celebrated independence day at a local concert. Here we got to enjoyed traditional song and dance and above all mix with the local people. The next morning we went to a Horse show and got the VIP treatment. our next stop was Darvaza ( gates of hell), this was absolutely breath taking. we ate fabulous food and chatted around the gates of hell as camels looked on at there new visitor for the night. the next morning I got up early to see the sunrises. Its a vision I will never forget. we than said goodbye to Darvaza and move on to Kow Ata where we chilled out in hot thermal springs caves for the afternoon. I can honestly say we where living the dream, just what we needed after a night of camping. Our next night stay was in Nokhur was a local family, The family couldn't have done more for us and the display of food was layout out for kings and queens. This night we chilled and looked up at the stars in the black sky. Our next stop was to the 5 beach resort of Avaza - a ghost town as we where the only people enjoying the beautiful resort. Yangykala Canyon was where we headed to next and yet again breath taking. After the canyon headed back to Ashgabat we visited a local market and we had our final meal in a five star hotel. Global village tours provide an unforgettable, enjoyable, stress free and unique travel experience. I can't recommend global village tours - Turkmenistan Independence day tour more.

The whole tour was a phenomenal experience. Deciding to go on a trip to North Korea can be nerve wracking, with multiple sources advising against it including most media reports and many countries' embassies. While there obviously are risks associated with going there, it's pretty easy to get by safely on the trip provided you follow the instructions given by the tour guides and those contained in the Global Villages FAQs. The country is very open to tourism and your presence there is an asset to them, with their main concern being your high opinion of their country. North Korea is evidently at a transitional point in their history, and now is a great time to visit, giving the chance to then return in a few years and observe its development. It's hard to resist pointing out, in case you still need convincing, that there are few better sentences at getting people's attention than "I've just got back from North Korea" :) Once you have decided to go, Global Villages are excellent at answering any questions or concerns about the country. They're also very reliable at responding if you have any difficulties getting everything together for the trip. I'm already looking for the next chance to go on one of their tours. PS: you'll be given the option of flight or train into Pyongyang. Go for the train journey. It's great.
