New this historical place for more than 40 years and always though - nothing interesting. By case this summer I participated the walking tour "Mystic ancient Chernigiv" ~ 17 Euro for 3 hours. Rediscovered a lot of new information - even that there is the...More

This compact, yet interesting church was reconstructed after some WWII damage. However, it's a delightful stop near the square and theater. There are some photos depicting pre-war appearance. Ladies will need a scarf.

It's a cool church, and it's historic - but it was also rebuilt after being destroyed during WWII. The Soviets weren't the greatest at historic reconstruction, so the Church's brickwork is a little - distracting. Nonetheless, it's not far from Red Square& Dytynets Park, so...More

It's very characteristic Ortodox church. I personally loved this place. It's tiny but so real, I felt real energy in there.

The oldest temple building in Chernihiv and, probably, in Ukraine. A big part of the church was destroyed during the 2nd WW. That's what remains from 9th-11th cc.

There isn't much to do here except look at the church and have a look inside, mostly for the sake of the architecture. Other than that, the interior looks like any other orthodox church. It's worth visiting!
