A nice place. The beach is on a separate island Sedir. I visited at the beginning of October 2016. It is represented by the width of the Gulf of up to 30 meters. Beach of bright white sand, consisting of a small round hard stone. The water in the sea and the beach itself is very reminiscent of a tropical... More

Sedir Island is a unexpected archaeological gem, with many remains dating back to Roman times; the amphitheatre being the best preserved. The island is reputed to have been used by Mark Anthony and Cleopatra, and is often referred to as Cleopatra Island. There is a tiny beach that cannot be used, but there are plenty of sun loungers available just... More

Sedir Island is nice, definitely worth a day trip. Cleopatra beach may be a bit overrated but it is nice to visit. The island also has ruins of ancient greeks. Cost is 15TL for the boat to the island + 15 TL to enter the island (it's a natural reserve I guess). Beach bar is expensive though!

Here is a very special island where you can see the oolite beach which is really rare in Turkey and historical ruins. From Marmaris you drive app. 20 mins to Çamlı village and take a boat. You can spend a whole day here swimming and discovering around the island. A must see. Bu özel adada Türkiye'de pek rastlanmayan oolit kumu... More
