I saw only one butterfly in the valley. A nice 20min walk one way. Beware - might need to step in a creek

The butterfly valley must have been a very nice place a few years ago, yet now it is overcrowded with people and facilities, which have had a terrible impact on its fragile ecossystem. The butterflies are almost non-existant most of the year, and the place is crowded, with little reason for it. Flocks of noisy people (butterflies are very sensitive... More

It was cool how we could only access this place by boat! We stopped here as part of a boat trip! Dont expect any butterflies though! Its only a name of the beach i think... the sand is soft. Spent about an hour here. They also sell food inside with a nice seating place.

very sad and depressing example of just how people ruin the nature. once it was a beautiful beach and picturesque gorge. now there's a big boat coming every 5 min and crowds everywhere, no butterfly could survive such a mess. hippy comunity looks nice but it kills the nature too. the only thing that worth visit is the waterfall, it's... Wow!! Planning on coming back to go camping, we only spent an hour here but it's very unique beach, peaceful, and just amazing.

We visited on a boat trip from olu, we were only given an hour in the valley where we paid to enter and see the waterfall, we didn't have time to get to the waterfall and by the looks of things no one else did either.

We were taken to Butterfly Valley on our boat cruise. It is a beautiful little bay, inhabited by a small amount of people so seems very untouched. Don't let the name fool you, we did not see one single butterfly, apparently back in the day it was full of butterflies but definitely not anymore. Still a nice easy walk to... More

We visited the beach at Butterfy Valley as part of a boat trip. First thing - don't expect butterflies. After that disappointment the beach is just a stop for various boat trips and nothing much more

The visit was included in a boat trip, but was limited to a 1 hour stop so the people who didn't want to look did not get bored on the beach waiting. There is a waterfall at the far end (even though the valley was dry) which we headed for, but after walking for 30 minutes and rounding several blind... More
