Gemiler Island (Turkish: Gemiler Adası) is an island located off the coast of Turkey near the city ofFethiye. On the island are the remains of several churches built between the fourth and sixth centuries AD, along with a variety of associated buildings. Archaeologists believe it was the location of the original tomb of Saint Nicholas.

Walk through the door and you can't explain it, you just feel peace. This little pearl of a store is a really cool place. The workers are the sweetest people and knew how to make you feel like you needed to go nowhere else. Great merchandise. Just ask, they probably have it. Clothes, incense, quartz, oils and a whole bunch... More

... but BEWARE OF ALI'S RESTAURANT AT GEMILE KOYU!!! We anchored with a SY in the channel at Gemiler (St. Nicholas) Island. After swimming in the crystal blue waters, climbing up to the top of the amazing historical settlement and enjoying the great view from above, we decided to have dinner at ALI'S at GEMILE KOYU (not to mix up... We have sailed in turkey for a few years from Bodrum to Fethiye and loved it. This year we had our holiday ruined in the area of Gremiler Bay and cold water bay by a man called Ahmed. Ahmed is a man in a motor boat selling ice creams and helping you tie your lines to the rocks, his boat... More

We anchored here for lunch when we were sailing. A very helpful ice cream man in a small boat tied our long line ashore in return for buying two ice creams. You can see some of the ruins going down into the water and the sea here is gorgeous for swimming. Be aware though that it's a popular visit for... More

Because of the layout of the ruins this is not recommended for young children at older children that run off. It is known locally as fathdr Christmas islands well worth a visit for people without Mobility pro lens as quite a bit of climate I g go appreciate it fully

Island is full of remains of old churches, tombs and have a very beautiful view from the top of island. It is not easy to get to top and you have to be careful to get down. You can get there by private boat or boat trip from Oludeniz.

Gorgeous little island steeped in history. Well worth mooring up, having a swim the in stunning turquoise sea & then hiking all the way to the top. Really beautiful.

If you are near to Kaya Koy and have your own transport, make your way to Gemiler beach ! Pretty little cove, complete with car park, cafe's and rest area, Beach is pretty good, but you do need to wear Jellies, as the beach is sandy with rugged rock base .
