Family Time
Oct 2019
We visited this place on vacation with the whole family, from young child to Grandpaents.....And we all enjoyed it. The kids fed the animals and went apple picking. We all met back up at the outside venue attached to the store, where we enjoyed different cider alcoholic drinks and listened to music. Food was being served but we had other plans so bought an Apple Walnut pie to go home for dessert and it was wonderful. This is a country setting and is spralled out with many locations to sit and just enjoy the view, even had a playground for the kids.

Lunch with friends
Oct 2019 • Friends
Stop by for winter squash and buy some cider and cinnamon sugar donuts. Long line for donuts but worth the wait.
Stopped inside cafe for lunch, wait was long but we don’t mind since food is so fresh from local farms.
Always impressed with fresh menu selection.
They have a operating fresh cider mill.
Included is bar out in back. We enjoyed hearing local band place music in back areas. Lots of areas to sit and enjoy outdoors weather permitting

Nice Afternoon Brunch
Sep 2019 • Couples
After a nice ride through the countryside we decided to stop for a bite to eat and decided on their Sunday brunch menu. The restaurant was packed. Our server was very pleasant and quick to provide menus. She was a little slow in returning to take our orders but another server took over. Unfortunately it took the better of 45 minutes to arrive but the food was hot and tasted very good. We ordered the vegetable frittata, the Cuban sandwich, a roast pork burrito and a specialty roast turkey sandwich. I am certain there was a shortage of staff which contributed to the lengthy wait. I will return due to the quality of the food. Adjacent to the restaurant is a room with a dozen or more variety of apples and fresh vegetables. Many of the Apple varieties were unfamiliar to us and he graciously cut open some to help us make the right decision. Every staff person ee came into contact with throughout their operation was friendly and very helpful.

Terrible Service and Unfriendly Staff
Sep 2019 • Family
This place is beautiful! Unfortunately, we waited forever to be seated In the cafe and another 15 minutes or more for a waitress to come take our order. We eventually just walked out. When we mentioned it to another staff member, they said “sorry, we’re busy”. Come if you plan to stay for a long time.

A Must for Families, Apple Connoisseurs, and Animal and Nature Lovers!
Dec 2018 • Solo
As a long-standing customer and fan, I highly recommend that you come here with family, friends, or on your own to enjoy its bounty and to attend to your own wellness.
Nestled at the foot of the Heldeberg Mountains, this farm maintains its roots in growing and providing organic fruits and produce.
It also offers a venue for celebrations and a popular and much-appreciated destination for seasonal and artistic events.
Carpe diem!

So pretty , but So Expensive
Nov 2018 • Friends
I think if the cafe was more reasonable and included a few sides, I would want to come back for lunch. But the sandwiches are so small and do not include any sides. It's just too pricey to support. The same applies with the brewery downstairs-12 Dollars for a soft pretzel-ugh-could get the same for a dollar elsewhere. A hot dog for 9 Dollars - Ike's! Too bad because if it was more reasonable, many of us locals would go. But not at these prices. Love the atmosphere, just not the prices.

Indian Ladder Farms Review
Oct 2018 • Family
While visiting my brother up in Albany, we went to the Indian Ladder Farms to do some apple picking. It's located on Route 156, surrounded by picturesque mountains and a plethora of fall time color coming from the trees. This particular farm offers a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables for their customers. The farm makes fresh donuts on site and are absolutely delicious! Be sure to pick up a dozen. I guarantee you will eat them all!

Lunch on a Crisp Autumn Afternoon
Oct 2018 • Friends
Had a pleasant lunch here with friends and enjoyed the farm atmosphere. We ordered soup and sandwiches on this chilly autumn day. The food arrived promptly. Everything is made to order from fresh ingredients. The lunch space is just a corner of a larger store selling everything from freshly picked farm apples and homemade cider and baked goods to the usual gift shop chatzkies of all sorts, so if you have time to browse and are so inclined, there's plenty for which to choose. You may also walk around the farm to see animals and buy the local produce. There is also a cidery and brewery on the premises with a tasting room open. It's a popular and busy place, especially on weekends when the pick-your-own fruit is in season.

Would you like to wait for two hours to get below mediocre food? Then this is your place :)

*disclaimer, I’m not one of those reviewers who have trip advisor to just vent about their bad experiences. I’m literally just trying to save your time and money*

Lord knows I was excited to eat at this place before apple picking, but to my dismay our experience was less than pleasurable. When we arrived, we were seated at our assigned table in a timely manner but had to wait for an hour before we could get out orders taken. Due to the abnormally long wait we decided to order simple items on the menu (mac n cheese and chicken fingers), that won’t take long for them...right?. Wrong. After at least hour and half- we’re brought our COLD poorly made food. Fortunately(but not fortunately) this was not an isolated event- several tables around me are complaining about their wait and the meek quality of the food. If decent food service can’t be provided then don’t do it it all. Stick to the apples :)
