Let me offer you an alternative route. Rent a bike from bike rental near Bostanlı theatre, take to bike road, about 15 km to wild life park by the coast. It is a huge wild life park tropical zone is a must see if you like this theme. Take this route in spring, summer is too hot in Izmir.

By commuting on the metro,Izban line, went down to Cigli station and found it's not at all close to anywhere so I asked my cab driver to come pick me up in 2 hours time, costs 30-40 lira both ways Entrance is 5tl and reasonable. Plenty of animals looking reasonably healthy and well fed. Poorest looking enclosure was for the lions.Too small... More

I'm sure you will have been to better wildlife parks but I would say you have been to worse too! It's a decent place to spend a few hours and there's stuff to do for all ages (we have 3 kids from 6-11). Whether it's the playgrounds, The Lions or the meerkats, they can all ensued for a while.

The best animal park I have ever seen. The park does not have any commercial concern (at least that's what I think because the entrance is super cheap) and the environment of animals so close to their own living conditions. None of them are alone and they are treated well. If you have time, just go there and enjoy. However... More

This is the best natural park in Turkey. The entrance is 5₺ for adults and 2₺ for students. You will like it here. Mostly in weekends it is very crowded and in summer it is hot. But especially it is the right place to show children all about animals. I fully recommend you to come here mostly in spring or... More

It was an amazing park to spend the day. The park is not close to the city center. You should have a car. I don't know about the public transportation.but when you get there, I am sure you will enjoy your time with the animals around.
