Birgi is around 100 km south of Izmir. Birgi is very old, beautiful, clean historic village. This village and this Mansion are on UNESCO tentative list. One of the must to visit.

One you get inside you start to think about the people who have lived here for a while. This is really embarrasing. The rooms are very nice. The view from the windows is fascinating. Do not miss this place when you are around.

We spent an afternoon here, looking at the Mansion and also the surrounding stone houses. We had a great lunch up the hill under the trees with a small waterfall, and toured the mosque as well. This little village is a hidden gem!
