Take a quick peek inside the church, built in 1832 for Greek Orthodox believers. The church was abandoned when the Greeks fled Izmir, burning the city to the ground. Today, the restored church is used for public events and its ceilings are a nice example of Orthodox iconography. A quick and easy visit while strolling and shopping.

Since this church, in the middle of Cesme high Street, has been restored, it has become very beatiful, and you can see different exibitons of crafts and paintings during the spring and summer. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Cesme Town.
