Urlice produces boutique wines and has a cafe-restaurant. We only had a drink at this place for short to try their vine. The vine could have been better. The view towards the vineyard makes this place romantic.

This was our second visit to Urla for wine tasting but our first visit to Urlice vineyards. The grounds are charming, Banu greeted us, gave us a tour of the facility and the history of the winery and its vineyards. The tasting room is charming where we sat to taste their wines. There is an outdoor area where food is served on the weekends. About the wines; one white a Chardonnay and the rest are reds. We are use to California reds, big Zinfandels, Cabernets and Merlots, we were impressed! This winery is a must stop for those who love red wines.
Banu speaks English and will enjoy showing you their lovely winery.
Cheers!!🍷

A beautiful landscape, very pleasant setting surrounded by vineyards, good food, nice wine and friendly staff. A good spot to get a taste of life in Urla.

Even though this place has a nice atmosphere, because of the management we left the place immediately. Staff is extremely rude which is something you don’t expect to happen in Urla.
We called them in the morning to ask if it was possible to postpone our booking from 12.00 to 12.30 and they said they were full, but when we went there there was only 1 table. The wines we were offered did not taste good at all. When we asked to complete our tasting in the garden, hostess again rudely did not allow this because it was against their rules even though the place was empty.
Unfortunately after seeing the other vineyards and super friendly people in Urla, this place was a complete disappointment and waste of money and time.

We have visited several wineries in Turkey as well as in France and Spain. Both in terms of wine quality, facility and attitude of the management, this place is the worst among the wineries we’ve visited. Firstly this place is not a family oriented facility. If you have children, don’t ever think of going there. Although we had booked for a group (8 people + 4 kids) a week earlier we were given a table just behind the door at an isolated area as we had children. With a touch of condescend, owner is brusque rude and unfriendly. He seemed to hate kids particularly. Although our kids were playing amongst themselves he felt the need to warn them several times. When it comes to wine quality it was a real disappointment. We’ve tried 3 different kinds of wine and all were blurry and quality were fair average, nothing special. You can buy better quality wines at other wineries at the same price. There are other much nicer places, around! The owner pretends as if this place is a high end (!) winery for professionals. In fact they are better good at making pizzas rather than wine so maybe they should change their name as Urlice pizzeria rather than winery.

Nice cozy place. No wine tasting:( Delicious food. They don’t serve coffee at weekends. It is very crowded at weekends afternoon. Best time to go there for lunch.

What a wonderful surprise at this glorious vineyard, small, intimate and very welcoming! Lovely lunch of home pizza by Feray washed down with a bottle of their finest rose. Great history from Reha, the owner. If you ask quietly, he may even show into the ancient cellar for a special treat.

Although the place and vineyards itself is lovely, the management is quite bad. We were welcomed by a highly rude attitude because we were 15-20 minutes late. Let alone there not being a “vale” support for the very limited parking space (took us 15 mins to fit our car somewhere!), the “host” who did not bother to tell any of us anything about the closing hour (10pm) of the place nor the kitchen closure hour (9pm), when we ordered a pizza at 9:15, all she had to say was basically lie to us claiming she had told us about the times!? Why if we knew would we order then beyond 9? We found this attitude quite bad. She should have instead said something along the lines of ‘I may have forgotten, is there anything we could do to compensate’... then when we wished to give consructive feedback, we did not even feel we were taken seriously as we were told ‘such and such are your views and not much we could do about it but the rest I will deliver...’.

Anyhow, and on the drinks/food, wine (we tried the cabernet sauvignon/syrahreserve and the chardonney) which were mediocre (2.5/5) while the wine platter was very weak (1.5/5). The pizza... we couldnt try. The brownie was quite bad, we could only have one bite only (1.5/5).

So unfortunately a high expectation was met with a very high dissapointment. A shame for a place that could really be attractive otherwise.

You cannot believe the high quality and affordable prices of these wines. We tried the Rose, Chardonnay and 2 reds. We bought the Chardonnay, Cab Sav and their award winning Cab Sav Merlot. Anyone who has done the same sort of thing in California, Italy or France, etc will consider Urlice world class and amazing value.

Not all wineries in the area have the same concept. Some are just wine tasting rooms and you can buy to take away (at a discounted price than haivng the bottle there), others you can also buy a glass and some have various degrees of food (some just cold meat & cheese plate or full on restaurants). Urlice has tasting hours and (we went to 3) was the most like a restaurant. We had the most amazing pork ribs and they do amazing looking pizzas.

You can tell Urlice is very popular, it was completely full when we were there and has a very nice ambiance - families, couples, tables of friends. You can walk out and have a look at the vineyards.

Our server and whom I guessed was the manager spoke English chatted with us and were very friendly and helpful. Urlice is a must do if you are in the Urla area. We were staying in Alacati and combined going to Urlice on the same day we made the 1.5 hour drive to Ephesus and stopped in Urla along the way home for lunch.

Highly recommend and would go again.

We went to this place one weekend in our last visit to Urla - we had lunch with great wines.. Their pizza was also great - not many variety but everything is so perfect that you do not look for more.. Place is rather small but it is peaceful which is more important - but it better to book before visiting and I guess they do not serve pizza everyday but only on weekends. We visited some other vineyards in Urla - but this was definetly our favourite. Looking forward to our next visit to Urla and Urlice vineyards - hopefully this summer..
