Urlice Winery, our first stop on the road to Urla Vineyard, gave us a good start. We had our tasting in a pleasant atmosphere in the renovated old building. We received detailed information about Urlice and its wines from our extremely friendly and knowledgeable expert. Our host also shared nice anecdotes about modern winemaking in Urla, starting with Urlice, the first modern vineyard in Urla. Their vineyards are on low land close to the sea. The wines are good, but our favorite was the reserve wines made from the oldest vineyards. The difference between the tasting experience and other wineries is that it is 1- standing and 2- it does not come with a cheese-cracker plate. You kind of focus on the wine, and in the busy months I'm sure it makes tastings happen quicker. But if you want to enjoy yourself, they also have a nice restaurant overlooking the vineyards. They were just opening when we went, but we would like to visit for pizza and wine next time.

Urlice produces boutique wines and has a cafe-restaurant. We only had a drink at this place for short to try their vine. The vine could have been better. The view towards the vineyard makes this place romantic.

This was our second visit to Urla for wine tasting but our first visit to Urlice vineyards. The grounds are charming, Banu greeted us, gave us a tour of the facility and the history of the winery and its vineyards. The tasting room is charming where we sat to taste their wines. There is an outdoor area where food is served on the weekends. About the wines; one white a Chardonnay and the rest are reds. We are use to California reds, big Zinfandels, Cabernets and Merlots, we were impressed! This winery is a must stop for those who love red wines.
Banu speaks English and will enjoy showing you their lovely winery.
Cheers!!🍷

Even though this place has a nice atmosphere, because of the management we left the place immediately. Staff is extremely rude which is something you don’t expect to happen in Urla.
We called them in the morning to ask if it was possible to postpone our booking from 12.00 to 12.30 and they said they were full, but when we went there there was only 1 table. The wines we were offered did not taste good at all. When we asked to complete our tasting in the garden, hostess again rudely did not allow this because it was against their rules even though the place was empty.
Unfortunately after seeing the other vineyards and super friendly people in Urla, this place was a complete disappointment and waste of money and time.

We went with my friends as a group of 4 people. We tasted wine and drank coffee. No water came with the coffee. Plus, while the bill was being paid, the female employee said to my friend, "It seems easy, my dear." Her tone of voice was passive aggressive. He scolded us when my friend's credit card did not work due to a problem with the POS device. In general, the employees were never polite or friendly.

It was a bad experience. They have no respect for customer. The pizza was bad with moldy flavor and greasy. one of the wine was just acceptable the other one was off flavor. They refused to change it even though they didn't charge it which was not understandable. They upset the customer for which they lost money too.

Beautiful place located in a 150 years old restored house.
The wine was amazing.
We had the Chardonnay and the reserved wine. Both were unique in taste and very good.
The grapes are organic, grown with no irrigation.
A great place to visit with friends 🙂🙂🙂

We went for sunset pizza wine. A hair was found in the pizza, the manager apologized and left and did not come back. When we got curious and asked at the exit, the manager left the place, that is, without returning. It is very disrespectful for the operator to not respect the customer.
As for wine and pizza, wine and pizza are ordinary, they are advertised on their award-winning wines. When the business was bad, we couldn't enjoy it.

We have visited several wineries in Turkey as well as in France and Spain. Both in terms of wine quality, facility and attitude of the management, this place is the worst among the wineries we’ve visited. Firstly this place is not a family oriented facility. If you have children, don’t ever think of going there. Although we had booked for a group (8 people + 4 kids) a week earlier we were given a table just behind the door at an isolated area as we had children. With a touch of condescend, owner is brusque rude and unfriendly. He seemed to hate kids particularly. Although our kids were playing amongst themselves he felt the need to warn them several times. When it comes to wine quality it was a real disappointment. We’ve tried 3 different kinds of wine and all were blurry and quality were fair average, nothing special. You can buy better quality wines at other wineries at the same price. There are other much nicer places, around! The owner pretends as if this place is a high end (!) winery for professionals. In fact they are better good at making pizzas rather than wine so maybe they should change their name as Urlice pizzeria rather than winery.

Nice cozy place. No wine tasting:( Delicious food. They don’t serve coffee at weekends. It is very crowded at weekends afternoon. Best time to go there for lunch.
