The Altinkum beach is in the southern part of the Cesme peninsula. Beware, it's a kind off the beaten track beach far away to access on foot, but best with your rented car.
The beach is pretty long, consisting of several parts with both free parts and private paying ones with sunbeds and bars, so you can choose according to your liking.
The sea is crystal clear really, but the water's pretty cold, much colder than in others parts of Cesme but after few minutes swimming you get used to it.

over the past year, the facilities and the cleanliness of the beach has improved vastly. one of the most beautiful beaches in the mediterranean sea. toilet and shower facilities are in place at last! expensive vendors are out forever. bring your own chair, umbrella and ice box when visiting this beach and enjoy it!

Altinkum ( it means goldensand in Turkish) beach is the possible beach in Europe also can b the top 10 in the world.

Well the beach is stunning, crystal clear water, sands as gold and it is cold water even in mid august ( perhaps some people may not like it )

How to arrive :

Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport ( ADB ) “Havaş “ busses to Çeşme coach station than a minibus ( 5 liras p.p ) to Altınkum beach ( which is last bus stop )

By bus from İzmir coach station -
Çeşme coach station ( 23 liras p.p * 4 euro) and than The minibus to Altınkum.

You may wish to buy drinks m snacks in Migros ( as Tesco Supermarket ) which is next to Çeşme Coach station because of bus departs about each 25-30 mins.

Sunbeds and parasols 15 liras ( 2,5 euro ) in İBo’s beach ,

Other beachs are about 40-55 liras p.p and food & beverages are pricey due to Turkish incomes ( for xample beer is 30 liras) these beaches has shower and toilet facilities and perhaps swings inside of the sea or such fancy Hammocks and preety lodges . But once again, pricey as Ibiza.

You may wish to go independent so shop all from migros and get the bus or taxi to here and when u arrive to the beach go to left side after 2 beach clubs later you have a place to stay independent perhaps a chair can ensure for a comfort because its mostly windy and its not funny when its too windy.

There are many stuffed Mussel ( Midye Dolma ) sellers if u r seafood person give a try and perfect with cold beers or coke.

Also corn on cob ( boiled and juicy and its called “ Süt darı “ in Turkish )

Well hope this helps and make sure like ly review if you find it useful and any question is welcome.

Have a great time in heavenly Altinkum beach.

This is one of the best beaches in the Cesme area .I remember when it was a stretch of beach with no attractions ,and years later it was slowly built up . Now theres a nice mixture of old and new so experience before it gets too crowded.

Nice clean sandy beach. The beach clubs were still setting up, but from the bus stop, walk past them and there are a few small coves where you can go naked.. Quite lovely apart from the inevitable plastic waste. Walk further and it allegedly becomes a gay beach ! When I was there the last week of May it was quite deserted.

Clean beach, prices are okay, 10 lira per person for a shezlong and shader, toilet and shower is also available. You can take your food and drinks there.

This is a gorgeous beach with the clearest waters I've seen yet. It's like swimming in a pool. There is a nice breeze, shallow cool waters, nice sand, very few rocks, and nearly no waves.

You can get there via the dolmus stop located just behind the Burger King at the Cesme Merkez. It costs only 4tl, take it to the last stop. From there, there are many beach clubs and even a few public beach areas.

We want to CopeCebana (the first beach past the dolmus stop) and it was great with kids. No loud music, chairs were affordable (we went during the week). Food and drinks are really expensive though.

I highly recommend taking a trip here. You won't regret it.

I recommend Montana Beach at Altinkum Cesme! Golden soft sands with no rocks or trash! So peaceful and quiet. One of the best beaches I visited in Cesme!

4th August 2019 I went to Çeşme with my friends. While I was traveling, I was fascinated by the nature. Sea, beach and wind turbines are the best three. Waves were so nice as if you were on ocean therefore you'd like to do surfing. We played beach volleyball with friends whom we don't know before as the atmosphere was so friendly.

Beautiful stretch of beach, with crystal clear cold water. Umbrella and bed hire were clean and reasonably priced albeit too close to each other. Regular Dolmus service available to and from which made it easy to get to without a car.
