This the oldest and one of the most impressive mosque in Gaziantep. It is said that Mosque was constructed by Caliph Omer and that's why named by his name but it is known that Mosque was renovated in early 12th century. This is one of the historical gems of Gaziantep which are always forgotten because of the delicious Gaziantep meals. In fact Gaziantep has many historic places and some of them are very important.
