This is a tiny, one room museum, but I think there could have been some more exhibits of the history of the greater Urgup area. There are English translations of the exhibits which was useful.

The museum and the staff are friendly. They live what they are doing. Local delicasies are around and the artifacts are great to see.

Mind blowing site of unspoiled side of Cappadocia. Government ensured that this side of mountain untouched by realtors and big business houses.

It is Soğanlı area of Ürgüp or Yeşilhisar. It is whole day trip . Visit different caves and areas . Enjoy the views . The road runs with small river or stream so this area has some nice trees and different topography. Visit old churches with paintings. There is no light and development you feel as if you are in the same era of 2000 years old. This place gave us goosebumps and how cave people used to live . Not crowded as Göreme. Visit one restaurant on the stream with apple and berry trees. Food was good and staff too.

If you have limited time in Cappadocia, it is recommended to visit Göreme Open Air Museum, Selime, Ihlara valley, Derinkuyu and Zelve valley. Compared to Göreme, Ürgüp does not have a lot to offer.
