Found this gem on internet search. Their response was quick and professional. Sule Avunduk was our travel advisor and she did a fantastic job. She revised our itinerary according to our needs. All our guides were very professional and knowledgeable. We want to go back and explore the eastern part and we will definitely use them again.

My husband and I travelled to Turkey for the first time in September 2022. Our friends highly recommended Orsan at Travel Atelier, a local Turkish travel agency from a previous trip they did a year ago.
I worked with Orsan Dogan, Operations manager who was brilliant! Orsan’s skills in planning, organising and implementing our 7 day trip to Turkey were exceptional. The trip still has us raving about it to family and friends. It has created the most wonderful memories for us both that will last a lifetime. The trip exceeded our expectations and Orsan stood out in the following ways.

Communication/Professionalism:
We communicated by email, Orsan’s writing skills are excellent and he responded quickly, ie within a couple of hours but definitely within 24 hours.
I had multiple questions and they were all answered respectfully and in detail with various options to suit our travel plans.

Trip Itinerary:
Orsan planned our trip paying special attention to our limited time and what was realistic within that time. Our itinerary and departure information was comprehensive at every step with the added confidence that we could call Orsan along the way. In Istanbul we visited Mosques, Museums, Markets, Bosphorus boat trip, caves, Turkish carpet factory, ceramic factory and hot air balloon in Cappadoccia. Our guides were highly skilled and educated in the historical sites that we visited and paid careful attention to our needs and at all times were polite well spoken and were a delight to be with.

Transportation/Drivers:
Our drivers were the best of the best, polite alert and vigilant on the road. The cars were exceptionally clean and excellently maintained. Cold water was provided and we could leave our belongings in the car while sightseeing. Transport was always on time to collect and pick us up.

Hotels:
We stayed at the famous Pera Palace. An beautiful hotel steeped in history. The service was exceptional at all levels and our room was magnificent. In Cappadocia we stayed at the beautiful Kale Konak again the service, amenities, staff and food were first class. At all times Orsan was in the background checking with the hotels that everything was on schedule and met our expectations.

In summary I have no hesitation in recommending Travel Atelier to anyone looking for a bespoke experience in Turkey. The flag ship of this company is Orsan - he is 'awesome'. Thank you for your care, and attention to detail in what has become a memorable trip to Turkey. We cannot wait to return with our adult children for a similar and equally exceptional experience. Thank you for these beautiful memories.

Amazing 16D/15N customised program including Cappadocia, land journey from Cappadocia - Konya - Antalya - Pamukkale - Kayseri - (flight) - Istanbul. Orsan replied within a day of my initial enquiry and thereafter was very very responsive in addressing all my requirements. He designed an excellent private tour with private minibus, tour guide for the whole trip (even flying from Kayseri to Istanbul), and good balance to accommodate my wife and I, and our teenaged daughters 12 and 16. Perfectly executed by our guide Bunyamin, who has 30 years of experience in Turkey, and at the same time managed to balance interests of parents and kids. Complete with ad hoc arrangement to a Fenerbache Basketball match! We asked for boutique hotels, and Casa Sur in Antalya, Pera Palace in Istanbul and Kayakapi Caves in Urgup were excellent. Driver Harun was the quiet type but just a perfect professional. The world is huge but now I have my wife planning to go back to check out Turkey's east! Great job! Thanks!!

Found Travel Atelier off the Internet and sent an email which was promptly responded to. Orsan completed the administrative portion of the 2D1N private tour I had booked. He was prompt in his responses and very helpful.

Faruk was an excellent guide, sharing with us nuggets of history and information about the places that we were visiting as well as of Turkey. We wanted to add on horseback riding on the 2nd day of our tour and he arranged that very easily for us.

In all, we had an excellent time from the moment we were picked up from our hotel, to the places we visited in Cappadocia. The food options were also wonderful and we had our fill!

It was an amazing experience and I highly recommend Travel Atelier for their efficiency, professionalism and wonderful service. Thank you so much for a memorable private tour from Istanbul to Cappadocia.

I had a sudden business trip to Turkey (we moved our team of 50 programmers out of Russia), so I went to meet them and set them up in Cypress. I always wanted to see sites like Gobekli Tepe, Catalhoyuk, Pamukkale and Cappadocia so, about 10 days before travel, I called Orsan (found on the web with good reviews) up in a panic. I needed a tour put together fast and it's fairly crowded season in October.

Booking last minute can always turn a "good" travel agent into a "bad" one if their better people are already booked, but he found us Uraz Nehir as our guide and Uraz is great -- he's very conscientious, really knows the local sites and people, so it was fantastic.

Our itinerary was packed, but he added many fascinating but more obscure sites -- some not even on Google maps yet where no one goes but the sites are as interesting as the main sites. Our basic itinerary was:

October 15 – Private transfer to Antalya airport for your flight to Gaziantep. Welcome at airport, private Gaziantep tour and transfer to Şanlıurfa for overnight.
October 16 – Private Göbeklitepe tour and overnight in Şanlıurfa
October 17 – Private transfer to Adiyaman and Mt. Nemrut visit at sunset, overnight in Adiyaman.
October 18 – Private transfer to Cappadocia and overnight
October 19 – Hot air balloon flight & private Cappadocia tour
October 20 – Private Cappadocia tour
October 21 - Private transfer to Konya, visit Catalhoyuk stay in Konya
October 22 - Konya => Sagalassos Ancient City => Denizli
October 23 - Pamukkale and Hierapolis drive back to Antalya
October 24 - Day trip Perge or Side then to Airport (arrive at 13:00)

A lot! But it was really great! Highly recommended!

I used this agency for my trip to Turkey in October 2022. I took their assistance only for hotel and domestic flight bookings, airport transfers, and one tour in Cappadocia. This part they did quite well and were accommodating of any change in dates.
However, I do not think they went above and beyond for anything. Most of their tours/activities are very expensive.

On the occasion of my sister's birthday, we were supposed to go on a hot air balloon ride that we booked with the agency, but unfortunately, we could not, due to bad weather. I had to find alternative activities for the day and had to persistently ask them what else we could do. All the options they gave us were extremely expensive including a pottery class for EUR 300 per person! A quick online search gave me a great option for EUR 14 per person. Some proactive action would have been appreciated especially considering we were celebrating a birthday in an unknown place.

The next day we had a private guided tour of Cappadocia. The tour itself was excellent and the guide Ertan was extraordinary. However, he was given a different itinerary from the agency than the one shared with us. We were happy with the tour, but it was not the one promised to us.

There was no further communication from anyone from the agency to check on anything. My recommendation would be to go for this agency only if you are booking all private guided tours with them or if you don't care where your money goes.

So so good! Beyhan at the agency was so sweet and accommodating. The airline misplaced our luggage and we missed our connecting international flight due to delays and therefore the domestic flights she had booked. However, she was able to turn our not-so-great start into an amazing trip. She was really quick to manage everything and despite our airline challenges, she made sure we still did everything in the original itinerary. She was in touch with me throughout the trip and was always a call away. Everything went absolutely smoothly. We did pamukkale, ephesus and cappadocia with travel atelier. Special mention to Goncha Yocel, our guide in Pamukkale. She was so much fun and made the entire experience so interesting.

If you are looking for a company to arrange a trip for you to Turkey, then your quest is over. I give my highest recommendation to Travel Atelier, a local Turkey travel agency. Specifically, I worked with Orsan Dogan, Operations Manager, whose service was beyond phenomenal! Orsan planned a customized two-week trip for my travel party of five adults. There are not enough accolades to praise Orsan’s skills in planning, organizing, and effectuating a trip that from start to finish amazed and delighted us. Furthermore, not one thing went wrong during the entire two weeks! In short, the trip exceeded our expectations in every way. Orsan stood out in these ways:

1) Communications / Professionalism: Orsan’s English writing and speaking skills are excellent! Orsan patiently answered my multiple emails containing a “million” questions. I never had to re-ask a question or ask for a clarifying answer, as every one of Orsan’s responses was articulate, thorough, and complete.

2) Price: a) Orsan planned our trip within our budgetary scope and exercised fiscal responsibility in booking all of our hotels, activities, etc. This effort allowed us to enjoy excellent value for our money spent and a first-class trip without “breaking the bank.” b) My original travel party consisted of six people. One member dropped out unexpectedly leaving one person as a “single” hotel booking, which significantly added to our overall hotel costs. Orsan kindly spent a great deal of time re-booking hotel reservations for our single traveler and negotiating discounted rates which served to lower the price a bit.

3) Trip Preparation: a) In advance of the trip, Orsan provided us with the most comprehensive Pre-Departure Information packet that I ever have seen. It covered every detail that a tourist needs to know about traveling in Turkey. b) After receiving input from me on what certain sites we wanted to see, Orsan prepared the itinerary that contained the perfect mix of visiting historical sites, museums, churches, mosques, caves, underground cities, etc., relaxing down time in local fashion, e.g. Turkish spa, and activities that allowed us to see and enjoy scenic local land and waterscapes, e.g. Bosphorus boat trip in Istanbul and hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia.

4) Guides: A guide can make or break a trip. It was important to us to have guides who were highly educated in the historical sites we visited. Our three guides, Fatih, Rabia, and Hasan had advanced university degrees in their fields. Their historical “lessons” were interesting and captivating. Furthermore, they were masterful in executing our daily itineraries. We never felt rushed and were given ample time to enjoy every historical site and activity, including our meals. On top of that, all three were kind and a delight to be around!

5) Drivers / Transportation: Our drivers were superb! All remained alert and vigilant; they drove us safely and without incident. Furthermore, they remained happy and in a good mood, even when the traffic was horrendous! Furthermore, the drivers looked after our goods left in the vehicle while sightseeing and always exercised politeness and kindness in helping us get out of the vehicle, offering water, etc. We were transported in Mercedes Sprinter-type vans that were spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.

6) Hotels: Our hotels were fabulous! Every hotel that Orsan selected had character, was extremely well-run and provided stellar customer service. Istanbul’s Pera Palace offered iconic and timeless elegance and Ciragan Palace Hotel provided luxury on the Bosphorus. Our rooms at the Karlik Evi in Cappadocia had glass ceilings so that at night we would lie in bed and look at the stars; it also had huge wall windows allowing us to awaken to the view of over a hundred hot air balloons floating in the sky. The La Vista Hotel in Kusadasi had an infinity pool overlooking the Agean and all of our rooms had full ocean views. The Oyster Residences in Oludeniz is a hidden gem with a pool enclosed in a beautiful garden and a restaurant and bar overlooking the ocean. The Nevali Hotel in Sanliurfa provided a modern and comfortable stay after seeing Gobeklitepe and other local sites.

7) Activities: As stated under “Trip Preparation,” we did a wonderful mix of activities. It is hard to say which stand out because they were all equally unique, marvelous, and provided wonder and excitement to us all. All of the archeological sites, museums, churches, and mosques, etc. were fascinating, beautiful, and a provided a wonderous education back in time. In particular, the hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia was magical, Cappadocia’s caves and underground cities were staggering, walking in the footsteps of St. Paul at Ephesus and in the Virgin Mary’s house was miraculous and heartfelt, and Gobeklitepe was astonishing and mind-blowing.

8) Trip Logistics: Finally, I would be remiss if I did not credit Orsan for his masterful stewardship of our trip’s logistics. Orsan was in the “command ship” watching over us every step of the way. He remained in constant communication with our drivers and guides. As if our simple well-being was not enough, Orsan went “above and beyond” by arranging for delightful surprises all along the way. We were treated to upgraded domestic airline seats and upgraded hotel rooms with spectacular views. Orsan took the initiative to check us in for all of our domestic air flights which made our check-in processes at the various airports significantly easier. In short, Orsan had his eyes and ears on us throughout the entire trip and took care of us like a kind father.

In closing, this truly was the trip of a lifetime. Turkey is completely safe, the historical sites are mesmerizing, and the people are lovely. I have traveled all over the world, and I can tell you with 100% certainty, that Travel Atelier and Orsan are superior in class!

My husband and I just returned from a 2-week trip to Turkey. While we booked our own hotels, Orsan at Travel Atelier made all other arrangements as we travelled in Istanbul, Cappadocia, and the Turquoise Coast: Internal air, transfers, guides, and even a hiking route. All services were top-notch. I thought the best way to describe specifics was to cut and paste from the letter I sent to Orsan this week:

"We wanted to take a moment and express our appreciation for your outstanding help with our trip. Four things stood out for us:

1. Communication: From the first time I contacted you, your communication was quick, clear, and helpful. Throughout the trip, too, you were always easy to contact and responsive.
2. Services: Each of the transfers and tours was well-done. The guides were all very knowledgeable and friendly, the drivers were courteous and safe, and everyone was always on time. We learned so much about history and culture!
3. Special touches: You went over and beyond what we expected several times. For example, prime seats and sandwiches arranged on our flights; large, spotless vehicles to drive us; a beautiful lunch in Antalya, etc. We loved these surprises.
4. Attitude: We really appreciated your warmth and kindness throughout our contact. We were delighted to find this same attitude in so many of the Turkish people we met. It made a wonderful trip truly memorable.

All in all, Orsan, you contributed in a major way to our great enjoyment of this 2-week trip to Turkey. Thank you."

TA readers: We researched several companies in Turkey and we have used various travel services in many other countries over the years. Travel Atelier is among the best anywhere. And Turkey is a beautiful, safe, and hospitable country. This is a great time to travel, so GO!!
