Berk was our five star tour guide for two days in Cappadocia and we learned so much about the history of this beautiful city and magical region. Berk is quite knowledgeable and very engaging as he incorporated rich historical information with anecdotal stories to help a wide variety of learners and English language speakers. I was particularly impressed with Berk’s creative way of infusing questions for the tour members to contemplate as well as inviting us to ask him anything we wanted. What resulted was a very dynamic and interactive group experience which made the two days one of my most memorable travel adventures ever.

A fantastic tour not to be missed. After completing a few tours in turkey, you will quickly realise that the right tour guide will make or break your day. A big thank you to our tour guide, çagatay, for an unforgettable day, I would highly recommend asking for him when booking your tour.

I was quite anxious with my first balloon flight, but once up there it was the most beautiful, peaceful and entrancing experience of my life. The view over Cappadocia kept me enthralled for the whole time. It was a very early start for the ride, but magical, with a slight morning mist to give it a mystical feel. A must for any bucket list!

The tour arranged by HTR was worth my penny at capadoccia. Within the short time there HTR managed to cover a holistic tour. Especially ask for a tour guide called Mustafa who you will be lucky to have to hear about the history and local experience in capadoccia.

What an amazing tour! An absolute must do for your travels in Turkey. We visited the underground city, ihlara valley and selime katedral among other places. Truly breathtaking experience and learned a lot about history.

Id be remiss not to mention our wonderful tour guide, Çagatay. He was incredibly knowledgeable and a great story teller, very kind, easy to get along with, and funny. Highly recommend him for your next tour.

Our agent in Istanbul (Efendi Travel), booked two full-day tours with this company, for my wife and myself, while we were in Goreme. We had the same guide on both days, Mr. Mustafa Sahin. He was great. We loved his wry humour, his enthusiasm and his depth of knowledge. On both days, the group size was small, around ten. Small enough for us to make friends with everyone, as we were together for about six to seven hours, each day. We got lunch on both days. Transport was comfortable (minibus). I would strongly recommend this company. to take you around, when you visit Cappadocia.

Our guide, Gonul, did a great job of informing us about the history and geology of Cappadocia. She watched over us well and dealt sensitively with an elderly couple that were part of our group. She is an excellent guide. Her English is excellent and she is very knowledgable about the history of the area. All of the transfers went well and the van was comfortable. However the second day of our tour degenerated into a shopping trip after the visit to the Goreme Open Air Museum and the rock churches. First the Onyx store opposite Pigeon Point, where we had been before. Then the pottery place in Aksaray, then a carpet place that claimed to be a cooperative but had "turizm" in the business name. In each they do a brief presentation on the craft involved and then show you into an exhibit area where the salesmen attack. This wasted a lot of time for the guests who were not interested in buying and made an extra stop to take some pictures we missed "impossible." Since presumably there are commissions involved in these stops, they are really not fair to paying guests. The tour should show some interesting out of the way places, not just go to the well worn tourist traps like the ridiculous "camel rock." Cappadocia is mass tourism central; every five minutes another bus pulls up and disgorges large groups from all over the world. A private tour should help guests avoid those places and see some more interesting and out of the way sights.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write up such a thoughtful and detailed review of your tours with HtR. We work hard to ensure our customers receive a top service and take pride in offering all the help we can, as with all group tours it can be a difficult task to please all customers, while some customers are only interested in the sites of interest other customers are passionate about buying quality local hand made goods. This can result in us calling at some local stores at customers request, the guides are available to help shoppers to ensure they get a good deal, however we are sorry to hear that you felt this hindered your sightseeing time, your guide would have been only to happy to make further stops for your photograph's if requested. Best Wishes Lesley Shaw HtR

I took North Cappadocia tour from HTR, which was quite good.

But I took South Cappadocia tour as well, which is definitely not meant for family with babies or especially toddlers. There is a trail path of around 4 to 5km on the start of the day & a stroller cannot be used on that path. This is a major section of this South Tour, so because of our baby we missed this section, and we went to the end destination and waited for the rest of the group to arrive and have lunch. After lunch there was visit to underground city, where again it was not recommended to take the toddler, as entrances to some caves are very narrow, and its difficult to hold a toddler and pass through them.

Though I would recommend both tours to anyone, but would certainly not recommend South Cappadocia tour to anyone with babies or toddlers. Unfortunately I took this tour due to miscommunication.

Thank for your feedback , We was sorry to hear of your disappointment of the South Cappadocia tour, The walk in Red valley is a very pleasant leisurely walk which many of our customers enjoy with their children and toddlers and it is a shame you felt you could not participate, most of the spectacular sites in Cappadocia are centred around the magnificent Valleys and because of this strollers are not useable, so most of our guest will carry their toddlers or alternately wait in the next village at the meeting point of which you was advised. The Kaymakli Underground City is accessible and suitable for children but again strollers are not useable, we have many families that take their toddlers in the Underground City and thoroughly enjoy it, Our guide mentioned that some areas are narrow as it is an Underground city and consist of tunnels and Cave rooms, it is unfortunate that because of this you decided not to participate. We would like to apologise for any misunderstanding and hope you have the opportunity to visit Cappadocia again. Best Wishes Lesley Shaw HtR
