My partner and I went to Cappadocia for a holiday in December, and we got engaged there. We visited Kocabag to celebrate, and we were fascinated by the wines, the place, and the staff. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly friendly. We had such a great time that we went back every day and purchased some wines to take home. If you find yourself in Cappadocia, don't miss the opportunity to try this place.

Local winery for a tasting and to buy wine! Low key and relaxed tasting of several wines and easy to purchase. They also have gift boxes that make it safer for transporting!

The TripAdvisor listing is for the Kocabag wine location "in town", this review is for the one up on the hill.

Thanks to Ms. Nesrin, we had the chance to taste and buy many fine wines. Other employees were also very caring and smiling. The place is very close to the center. I would definitely recommend you to visit here!

Wines were tasty and reasonably priced. I would go there to buy wines but the tasting was not an experience. The server gave us tastes of the wines in the same paper cup, he didn't tell us anything about the wines. We were in and out in 10minutes. Certainly not a wine tasting experience but if you want to buy some wines definately pop in.

We went there to buy some local wines, we didnt expect to taste them because of pandemic. But we were lucky, we had to chance to taste almost all of wines they sell. It is obviously seen that, Memhud Bey is very experienced and professsional in his area. We bought 8 bottles of wine, and loved especially “Leo’s” and “Gravite” tastes which are awarded worldwide.

We loved testing those delicious wines in a very friendly atmosphere. From experience I can tell that Kocabağ “Emir” is an ideal white wine for any occasion, especially with cheese or fruits.. We enjoyed testing special edition Kocabağ “Gravite” with has layers of deep and various aromas which stays long on the palate, promising to be a good red wine to accompany any good dinner.

Kocabag is one of my favorite local wine brands in Turkey. I particularly like Okuzgozu/red wine and suggest others who like strong taste to try Leo’s. Staff is very helpful with the choices. I like the atmosphere too with a little fireplace and the view on the terrace.
