Cappadocia Balloon Ride and Breakfast

Rising from the plains of Anatolia, Cappadocia is an ancient, fairytale landscape famous for its honeycombed underground cities and towering, chimney-shaped rocks. Get a bird’s-eye view of the unforgettable scenery from the region’s best vantage point: by hot-air balloon. You also enjoy a breakfast buffet.

LOVED the no pressure sales approach. We walked in to browse and stayed 3 hours! Ali was so personable and very kind to educate us about the various construction techniques, history and traditions of carpet making. I enjoyed the time he spent with us picking out the perfect carpets For our home. Overall, It was a truly a fascinating experience. I would highly recommend this business and give it 10 stars if I could!

Going to this carpet place was a great experience. Mustafa was very nice and knowledgeable about the carpets. He explained the different fabrics, the different uses, and different regions where they come from. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I wasn’t planning on purchasing a carpet that night but nevertheless I walked away with a beautiful piece.

I would recommend every tourist in Goreme visit Ali and Mustafa in their shop, even if they have no plans whatsoever to buy something! (You may finally end up buying, because they are such good salesmen, but that is not the point I am trying to make!). It was a pleasure to be entertained by them, and to be educated in the various types of carpets. It was like visiting a museum. All the time, my wife and I were given cup after cup of apple tea. Ali speaks perfect English, because he has lived several years in the US. We did buy some carpets, but the whole experience was something out of this world. Shopping here was such a pleasure. Ali and Mustafa are in business to sell carpets, but more than anything else, they seemed to get more pleasure in simply talking to us and entertaining us. Long may they do so!

Sultan Carpets was one of my favorite experiences during my time in Cappadocia! The owner is extremely welcoming and has such a passion for what he does. His carpets are absolutely stunning, and the upstairs area for taking photos is like something out of a dream. Would definitely recommend checking out this experience while you’re in town.
