Zemi Valley is set between two most famous castles in Cappadocia - Uchisar and Ortahisar.
Driving between them there're several places to stop and park your car to explore more amazing landscapes with fairy chimneys and other rock formations.

The Zemi Valley area is incredibly beautiful with a few different loop options if you’re looking for a hike. We did the long loop down to the churches at the end and it was so incredible. Half of the loop is in the valley near a stream with some tree cover for hot days. The second half is along the peaks and can be very hot so plan accordingly. The churches are UNBELIEVABLE with Byzantine frescos that are stunning. We were the only hikers we saw so it truly felt like we were exploring on our own and finding these bits of ancient history… a dream come true! The hike was physically strenuous in some areas due to the heat in July, but it was hands down my favorite of our time in Cappadocia.

Great valley to hike. It takes around 4 kilometres to walk by the fairy chimneys and reach the beginning of Pigeon Valley.

One of the many valleys that you will see. Avoid tours and walk around by yourself. All cappadocia is full of these rock structures and caves.

Beautiful rock formations and free of other visitors. You can see similar structures here as pasabagi. Lots of ways to get there but we went on the path closest to the road.

I can highly recommend this place for trekking! Also, a good tour gide would be a plus. Sunglasses, comfy shoes/ trainers are recommended as well.

It was a wonderful place with many odd looking chimneys. We only saw the chimneys from the top and could not visit the bottom of the place.
It is often jokingly mentioned that it looks like men's genitals. At the top, there was plenty of space to park vehicles and some small restaurants selling orange and pomegranate juice.

This is a good shortish walk out from Goreme centre. Walk from town then turn right off main road by a cafe/car park to then walk gradually uphill. Nice little home cafe on the track up. Don't miss entering 'El Nazar' cave chapel (UNESCO site): 6Tl entry. Walk with lovely rural views then back down to main road cafe stop next to turn off for a drink/ice cream in lovely pretty garden before the stroll back into town.

Such unique beauty and hiking experiences. Exploring this region of Cappadocia offers wondrous perspectives, a chance to see the flora and fauna up close and feel history beneath one's feet.
