Lots of strange structures made by nature over millennium by the combination of volcanic eruptions, wind and rain. There are Souvenir shops selling key rings and other stuff like evil eye etc. Nice place for photography.

the canyons and gorges all around are absolutely otherworldly. actually where they filmed Stars Wars. I also think it is the original home of the Keebler Elves - fairy chimneys everywhere

Except for a couple of traditional dances, it was not worse the money. The food was terrible ( I am turkish and this was not a quality meal). They tell you the have a fire show but than they invite you outside and you dance around a burning can pit. Basically they are making fun of your intelligence. I am not recommending this place..

How nice it was to be under the shadow of the fairy chimneys. The view makes you speechless. You feel energised in nature.

Very convenient to walk and, if you wish, to climb. Amazing views. Fair entry fee. The insides are worth inspecting :))

These formations are incredible and it is amazing how they have withstood the test of time. Inside them, early people carved out homes and churches to evade the Romans. If you are in the area, you don't want to miss going through them!

You really only need your eyes and feet to visit these amazing rock formations. You can see them just off the road and they make an excellent photograph record of Cappadocia at its very best. It really isn't worth going on a camel or any of the other ways of seeing these. Use you feet and car to access.

We have visited cappadocia in January a few years ago and it was magical and serene. Now we r planning a visit in the month of august this year and i am wondering if the experience would b the same or would it b too hot to enjoy outdoors? I definately don’t want to ruin the memories of my experience in cappadocia...

Cappadocia’s magic can’t be lost! August weather would be perfect for the hot air balloons, hiking through its gorgeous landforms would also be amazing in the sun. It’s August average seems to be 25°C for me that’s absolute perfection.

Hi
Does Peri Bacalari have another name? There are so many different valleys in Cappadocia and I am getting confused with their names.
Thanks
