Birol was so helpful in showing us the extensive Collection of handmade ceramics and did not pressure us. We live in Turkey and know another ceramic place in Avanos that was dishonest / overcharged, but not this store. If you want unique treasures, head downstairs. You won’t be disappointed!

Very long histories with multiple generations acquiring this handcrafted ceramic pottery skill. Their hand art work definitely beyond imagination. Using hand to draw the pattern on the pottery one by one and went thru stringent burn in process. Beautiful art work for sure.. they even allowed guest to perform the pottery work. They can customise the pottery base on your design as well like your portrait and to write name on it too! Beautiful but expensive… but if can spare some $ or you like the art work. Worth paying !

I highly recommend Kapadokya Seramik.
Lovely staff and they are to assist you in anything you need.
I bought a plate with them and unfortunately it broke after my trip in the luggage.
I called them to report the incident and they were very kind, they replaced the plate and shipped for me.
Truly the best place to buy ceramics in Cappadocia.

Very nice welcome, we were given drinks and introduced to the business by a family member who was passionate and knowledgable. We were given the chance to begin to make our own pot on the spinning foot wheel with guidance from a 'master' which was good fun! We were then led to a room where we were shown artists who were drawing and painting ceramics, demonstrating their individual skill, it was impressive.

After this, we went into a large room where we were invited to purchase handmade, hand-painted ceramics. The pieces on show were great to look at, a vast array of choice. If you decide to buy, you must negotiate. The sales people are very experienced and they will not give you their best, even on the second or third time.

Be advised that even if they say they will cover all shipping taxes, fees and commissions, they do not cover your individual country import duties. Once the goods get stopped at the buyer's country customs border, the customer must pay to have the goods released. Unfortunately this is not something Kapadokya Seramik make clear to all customers. As to the quality of the ceramics, i am no expert but if you are looking for a finer souvenir from the region, its an option. Also be advised that the delivery time agreed in the shop is unlikely to be accurate as they cannot guarantee cross border travel or courier performance. There is also an element of doubt once they have received payment. In my case, it was delivered 1 week later than agreed, though very securely packaged so the pieces were well protected. Strangely, our order seemed only to be dispatched after we requested Kapadokya Seramik for the tracking number a few days before it was due to arrive.

Despite what the smooth talking gentlemen say, they do put pressure on tourists to buy something...its up to the tourists to be strong in the face of it. If you cant afford or you feel undue pressure, please walk away!

Overall enjoyable, a 4 star visit until the sales pitch. The performance of the package delivery & associated lack of transparency with regards the shipping makes us downgrade the star rating.

We purchased quite a number of goods to be shipped to Singapore.
The sales people are very professional without being pushy. At no time did we feel pressured to buy something (in fact several people in our group left without making any purchase)
They arranged the shipment which arrived (as estimated) after 6 weeks (included in the price)
Although the packing was very well done, 2 of the bowls had little chips and we asked what we should do. We were told to contact DHL for the paperwork and within 2 days they arranged for a replacement shipment.
This experience was a pleasant surprise as we were a little doubtful as to whether they would replace the damaged items.
Kudos to this company and definitely recommended to those of us who live far away and do not want to carry things back to our country.

The tour guide of a Gorëme's agency brought us here without asking, and replacing places like Çavuşin which we couldn't see!! They're clearly colluded to bring us there so the tour company gets a percentage of the sales. The prices are excessive and I couldn't believe a word of the explanations given to us. A fake.

This place is a workshop, store and a demonstration area - all in one. We were shown a kick-wheel pottery demonstration, and one of us was allowed to try her hand at it, under the guidance of a 'master'. Then we saw the breathtaking (but SUPER expensive) pieces being sold, that were made by masters - who create the designs themselves. There is also a section of more reasonably priced things made by students - and I bought a wine decanter which is the specialty of the region...I wish I could afford some of the other pieces - and could go back to just see the masterful detailing of each of them! Beautiful experience for those interested in art and supporting ancient art forms!

They had a demonstration of how to make a pottery product which was really fun. And the sales were very professional, not at all pushy. They had quality fluorescence products of pottery which I think very rare.

Our visit to this ceramic place was both an educational experience and a visit to a gorgeous art gallery. The salesmen were lovely - informative and good promoters of the wonderful work done there - but not pushy in any way. This place left us wishing we had space for more of this lovely work.

When visit Avanos, the must buy items for souvenirs are pottery, coz this town famous with this art. One of the place to buy is at KAPADOKYA SERAMIK. No doubt for quality, many choices, comfort and big place to find whatever you need. The sales here are friendly, never push to buy anything, always provide with the information and help to find the right thing with the good price.
