So many tourists starts to take selfies that good photography is sometimes difficult.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten December 29, 2023

More just a photo opportunity than anything else this is quite a spectacular valley clustered with interesting rock shapes (everyone plays spot the camel). There is a souvenir stand at this point but be careful crossing the road.Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 29, 2024
- LastMinuteLarry446 contributions"Imagination Valley"How many valleys can you see in Cappadocia? Possibly too many if you are booked on several tours! If you have time - around an hour, take a look here at the end of the day. You will have fun finding shapes of objects and animals, especially if there are children with you. It is possible to hike here for the more adventurous visitors. Can you see the man's face in the rock?Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 28, 2024

Strange rock formations atop sand formations due to the weathering of sand lava made millions of years ago. This place is ever changing and will have a different landscape with the rest of time. One day these formations will only be flat dirt sooner then later if not protected from human interference.

I was there one afternoon around two and there weren't many people. The one that stops stays almost entirely on the road to photograph the camel-shaped rock but few people go inside
The site has no parking, you park on the street
The walk is nice, you have fun imagining the various things and animals you see in the rocks
We stopped for an hour

Devrent Valley is set among Goreme town, Zelve open air musuem and Urgup. Therefore, I suggest when visiting any of the latter two to stop and take a small hike through these amazing formations. There's a parking lot just by the road. It will consume only an hour of your time and among others here's the famous Camel rock.

During the journey after the Love Valley we pass through the Dervent Valley, characterized by the multiplicity of eroding rock formations, some of which take on signatures similar to animals
The camel call is very typical and photographic
There is no parking, you stop on the side of the road, and a half hour walk on foot paying maximum attention because the surface is slippery

Fun area where you can walk among rocks shaped by erosion, reminiscent of a camel, a marmot,... Very curious. You can park in the road area. There is no entrance, you can stay as long as you want, we stayed for about 45 minutes

We made a short stop on our way to Avanos.
You can see it from along the road, but I climbed to a small hill with camel rocks and circled it lightly.
The camel rock is the most popular, but there are other strange rocks in the shape of a variety of animals that don't look like owls or lizards.
Sneakers are the Recommendation.

kind of underwhelming after all the incredible rock formations we had been seeing for days. it's cool to see the camel rock and a few others. quick stop usually included on the red tour. it's ok but don't go out of your way.
