Uzun Carsi (or Long Bazaar) is a stretch of covered shops. It is not a "touristy" place, it's where the locals shop, selling everything from clothing to household goods, to jewelry. Good fun to quickly walk through and maybe pick up a cheap imitation designer shirt.

The central area around the Ulu Camii is a shopping heaven.

Before coming to Bursa I always thought there is only one bazaar, you know like Grand Bazaar in Istanbul but in fact there are several bazaars e.g. Uzun Carsi (or Long Bazaar) and hans (Koza Han, Emir Han) connected to each other in one area, some specialising in certain items like silk or foodstuff but most have hodge podge of items ranging from gold jewellery to fresh vegetables.

A single day is not enough to explore the whole place. It's a pleasant experience walking through the maze browsing items and just soaking up the atmosphere. Most traders are civil and would not push for you to buy something from them unlike in Istanbul Grand Bazaar.

We really liked the laid back attitude of the shopkeepers at this bazaar as we were expecting pushy salesman of Istanbul's bazaars but found none of them here. If you want to be able to shop in an authentic Ottoman style bazaar at your own pace in peace and comfort then this is the place to go to.

A lot of stores are available here with different merchandizes inside each one. Prices here are less than any other place

I read good reviews about this Bazar. but if you have visited Grand bazar in Istanbul and expecting the same then this is not the place for you.
this bazar is good for Carpets, silk & sweets but not good for the gift items or showpieces or bags or turkish lamps and many many more things.
visit this place only if you are in bursa and nothing great to do there.

We thoroughly enjoyed the covered bazaar. In addition to all the handmade small goods , we also found a shop that sells locally produced cheese, olives, honey, jam, etc. Best hazelnut spread we ever had and fantastic honey. And at amazing prices!!

I had only 1 hour and half to visit this bazaar in Bursa.
You can find very nice silk scarfs, souvenirs and bed linen.
It was a pleasant experience and I also bought very good sweets with chestnuts.
The prices are more acceptable than Istanbul grand Bazaar.

A good place to buy silk scarves, as the best ones are made in Bursa.
The people at the shops were also very friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to help you, and also engage you in conversation. Very friendly people! I loved Bursa and the Covered Bazaar!

Situated behind the Silk Market this covered bazaar has all the usual beautiful displays of fruit, vegetables and fish and as a foreigner I enjoy the atmosphere created by the hustle and bustle even if I am not wanting to purchase goods.

It is worth visiting if you are staying in Bursa.
