We had an excellent time with TransBalkan tour. Our guide Denizhan is very professional from the moment I contacted him through random google search. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning because it was all booked and confirmed with just a finger snap and I was worried if we were really booked in, but Denizhan put our mind at ease with his consistent prompt replies; he made me feel that I was well taken care of!
I had a very ambitious schedule to catch as I wanted to visit two locations that are pretty far apart, but Denizhan arranged it flawlessly and we visited both the locations without feeling rush. He speaks excellent english and is very knowledgeable about all the history behind the places we visited. We cant really complain about anything as we are very happy with our tour. If I had to be picky, I guess I would suggest Denizhan to take us to a local joint for quick pizza or kebab lunch rather than the very touristy buffet that we visited.
I am looking forward to booking him for my next visit in Turkey and I would recommend him to everyone who is looking for a nice private tour!

From the initial contact made weeks in advance of our trip, Denizhan was extremely prompt and professional in organising our trip and in staying in touch right up to the day before, providing the name of our guide Ezgi who would meet our group (6 adults) at Kusadasi port.
We started our sunny morning with a fabulous traditional Turkish breakfast eaten outdoors in Kirazli village at a lovely family run establishment. Delicious food and friendly service in a beautiful location made this a highlight for all our group.
Ezgi was a brilliant guide - informative and efficient, we felt in very capable hands with both she and our driver.
We first visited the Temple of Artemis, followed by a tour of Ephesus, stopping at all the relevant sites and learning some of its facinating history from Ezgi. We had plenty of time to take it all in, get photos etc. In the afternoon Ezgi fitted in a visit to the Ephesus Archaelogical Museum in Selcuk to show us many important artifacts from Ephesus - this tied the whole experience very nicely together for us. This was an addition to what had been originally planned for the day and was very worthwhile - thank you Ezgi for your flexibility and for ensuring we got the very most out of our tour.
We enjoyed every minute of our wonderful tour which was also extremely good value for money. Our group only had one day to experience Turkey on our trip, but thanks to TransBalkan, it was a day none of us will forget.

We toured Ephesus in November of 2019 with Orcun Kamit as our guide. The two of us were escorted from the port to the ancient site by our well spoken and knowledgable guide and driven in a Mercedes SUV by a separate driver. Orcun was personable and spoke English very well. Delightful day and well worth the expense. He made our time well used and joined with us for lunch at his personal favorite local eatery. Perfect day with a great guide. Thank you Orcun!

We absolutely loved our tour of Ephesus with our guide Simih. We love history and so does he, so we were able to learn so much about the history of Ephesus from the very beginning from the Amazons. We've visited a lot of ruins before, but Ephesus was different because so much of the city streets are still intact so you feel like your walking through an ancient city center. It's a tour not to be missed it especially if you go with Trans Balkan Tours.

Ephesus is a truly amazing ancient city! And TransBalkan Tours did an excellent job of showing it to us. Denizhan helped with all the pre-trip arrangements and promptly answered my many questions. Our guide, Ezgi, was very knowledgeable and provided great background information on all the sites we visited. The overall quality of this tour was excellent along with a price that could not be beat. I highly recommend booking a tour with TransBalkan Tours.

My husband and I booked a tour through TransBalkan tours with Ezgi as our lovely tour guide. She was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. We were met promptly at the cruise ship terminal, on time and had a wonderful day touring Ephesus. Ezgi also helped make arrangements at an excellent local seafood restaurant just outside the main tourist area where we could still easily walk back to the cruise terminal at the end of our meal. The food there was reasonable, fresh and delicious. Denizhan was excellent at communicating with us ahead of time to make all the proper arrangements and we had a great day in Turkey!

Working with Denizhan was excellent. He quickly responded to all of my questions and was very easy to make adjustments with. The cost for the tour and entrance fees was very reasonable even with the government making changes. Our guide, Samih was outstanding and very knowledgeable. He guided us away from the crowds and found quiet spots to talk with us. It was outstanding to be able to visit the many historical places. However, spending time at the rug store was something that was not of interest to many of us in the group and we had requested to omit that part of the tour. I still would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting this port. The guide did an outstanding job giving us all of the historical information about each place we visited.

We were met at the cruise terminal by Mrs.Ezgi :::She was so pleasant and spoke good English. The comfortable air conditioned vehicle took us to our tour of Ephesus, the house of Mary and the Temple of Artemis. She was so informative and knowledgeable but never boring, she has a sense of humor. My son in law who was with us is disabled with very limited mobility but she managed to tailor the tour to suit us all and accommodate his wheel chair. A great day thank you very much. Denizhan did an outstanding job and I would rate this tour a 10. I was a little apprehensive about taking a private tour in Turkey but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Denizhan is full of knowledge and very professional and we saw everything and he explained everything. My one complaint if any would be the rug demonstration. We enjoyed the demonstration but the pressure to buy one was a little much. I would definitely recommend this tour though. Denizhan kept me posted ahead of time on everything and since you don’t pay anything until the end of the tour, I was a little worried. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful time on our 3 day tour of the 7 Churches of Revelation. Our guide Orçun was excellent - he’s very knowledgeable, friendly, and has a good sense of humor. He was attentive to the needs of the group and always allowed plenty of time to enjoy the sites without feeling rushed, and answered every question. He also did a nice job choosing our lunch spots. Transportation was comfortable and our driver was great. This is my second time booking a tour with this company and I would be more than happy to book again on my next trip to the region.
